Vietnamese spring rolls all the way! I love how in some restaurants they come with lettuce, which I was taught to wrap the roll in, and then are supposed to be dipped in the delicious dip. I don't actually know what it's called, but it's bright red and has the consistency of water. Is it vinegar? But nonetheless, Vietnamese spring rolls are the best!
I like the spring rolls better...they are healthier... and eggrolls are more like a normal snack to me... i only eat springrolls occasionally... when im at home i make em sometimes..... but the sauce is too bloody hard to make :(
Hahaha...no lar...i know u can buy the fish sauce everywhere but then u have to add the sugar, lemon, garlic and peppers...and i never know the right amounts so i almost mess up... so every time i make those rolls for ppl at home they always end up eating the rolls with the sauce i created -sorc
i use to like egg rolls more...but got bored of them after a while i guess...so now i prefer vietnamese springs rolls probably cuz i dont get to eat it as often.
erm...lumpia is eggroll? right? or have i been wrong for 20 years? someone please confirm that my childhood wasnt a lie?
never tried the vietnamese roll before...but it so looks like our malaysia popiah except for the skin...the semi transparent skin used for 'hagau' in dim sum? malaysia popiah: fillings consist of shrimp, shredded egg, beancurd, bean sprout, lettuce, and a layer of chili sauce on the surface...
i like the chinese spring rolls (egg roles) better than the fried vietnamese rolls but i do admit the vietnamese sauces are much better
um..I never tried eggrolls before...are they "dan goon"?... ...i only heard of it + read it in some Chinese take-out restaurant's menu... and are they really that unhealthy?....
i like the fry Vietnamese spring rolls more but some restaurant's spring roll dont taste as good as others
I prefer Vietnamese Spring Rolls cuz it's less dry. It has some sort of "freshness". I don't really know how to describe it. ^_^;
