Lol i like using usb to transfer more than a bluetooth transfer and a modem rather than a router (probably because my router is not too good). Oh yea, i would rather just talk on the phone normally than use a handsfree.
lol i much prefer usb, so much faster.... but then a router isnt a upgrade of a modem really, a router allows you to share the connections, a modem has the connection, and most routers include a modem inside lol theres not much id prefer to its predecessor, nothing i can think of, since everything that has been upgraded has been better one thing people might say, is vinyl to CD
Technology can't ever be inferior to its predecessor, only by design. For one, Bluetooth is not in any way a successor to USB. BT is for lower power, low bandwidth transfer, while USB uses high power for fast/high bandwidth transfer. Wireless USB, which is coming soon, will be a good option to wire USB. Modems and routers coexist, and they are completely different. Routers, in fact, is the replace for the hub. They're responsible for routing/redirecting/monitoring signals. Modems on the other hand, receive incoming signals from an outside source, and respond by initiating a propagation of packets back to said source.
^ i know upgrades to technology might not be inferior but some people prefer the predecessor probably of it's design or ease of use and also upgrades can mean more problems, like windows vista from window xp and also i remember i had this one cd player and it was freaking working perfectly until i bought the successor with added mp3 capability but the sacrifice was that the interface was harder and also it was heavier and design was worst. Some people just value older technology because of the familiarity and probably because they couldn't be made anymore, there's just something about having the whole cd of an artist than just downloading the cd into the mp3 player and not actually having the cd itself...
and believe it or not i still prefer wired for all my pcs. wireless just a convenience for my lappy and pdas.
wired net deff betta... older phones are sometimes good if u dont get them for the extra functions. They can withstand drops and knocks!
There isn't anything I can think of in which I prefer it's predecessor except in car designs, if that counts.
