Hey guys. I didn't notice until I downloaded this chinese song but then the character doesn't show up, all I see is square boxes. My internet reads them just find, I use Internet Explorer btw. Apart from the top bit, I'm not sure what its called but atm it says "PA - Entertainment Destination" etc.. well if its a chinese webpage, the character shows up as boxes and I just can't read them. Whats the problem please? Thank you for your help.
I think you need to install the east asian language package. I don't know how to set it for Vista, should be almost the same. This is for Windows XP: Start > Control Panal > The Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options opens. OR Click on Regional and Language Options. You get the Regional and Language Options dialog box. Click on the Languages tab. Check the box for Install East Asian Languages under Supplemental language support. Then click apply and OK. You might have to reboot for it to work. I hope this works.
How do you install east asian lanuages under windows xp professional. It asks for a disk to install it... and i dont have the disk, how do i install it?
^do you have a bootleg version of windows xp professional or something? cause if you do i don't think you can do it.
The problem is because your OS is the english version and hasn't got the supported files to read/write the characters To fix, click on the link below and read the first post http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7226
if u have the newer version of windows, window ultimate, then your pc already can be recognized at least 13 languages or more (chinese included) without doing this control panel thingy.
