360 elite or ps3

if you got money and wanna get ripped off by sony buy ps3
if you want some cool stuff buy 360

 

I will say ps3 because of blue ray

dont bother with the elite unless you really need the HDMI connectivity, its way overpriced

You don't need to worry about your 360 dying on you. Most of the 360's vunerable to breaking down were from the earlier models. That doesn't mean there still isn't a chance of it dying, but the chance is lower than before and if it does you can always send it back since Microsoft extended the warranty on all 360's by 3 years from date of purchase. Also the PS3 will see a price drop. It might not be within this year or next year, but eventually they will drop their price.

Now, back on track. At this period, I believe you are able to purchase a 60GB PS3 for $350US if you sign up for the Sony credit card. Depends how complicated you want to be with your credit record and stuff, but that'll save you some money. You have to order online, and the $150US rebate takes 8-12 weeks...most likely 12.

I like the xbox 360 better

 

Owning both systems I can say that I spend more time on xbox than ps3.However, the future looks good for ps3 In general, if you want games to play right now it would be xbox, otherwise some pretty good games are coming to ps3 later this yr and next. Most of the stuff for xbox are shooters and american games so it would also depend on what game genre you enjoy.
But I do feel ps3 ismade of a higher quality than xbox ( widespread reports of 3 red lights)

 

september will be the month for PS3 with the release of Liar and heavenly sword...it should really let the PS3 shine and show off what its made of

 

HALO 3 is gonna beat the ass out of ps3 games lolz

 

Only in the realm of shooters...HALO will most definitely beat anything the PS3 has to offer but in terms of other games the xbox360 just don't have very much to offer, Lair just looks awesome in general and it isn't a FPS but a strategy game

 

Halo 3 will most likely beat all the games this year in sales since GTA was delayed for next year. But Heavenly Sword looks amazing.
