http://video.aol.com/video/surgery-on-the-wrong-side-of-the-brain/1954997 Even Neurosurgeons can't tell right from left lol, the patient is unlucky and oh yea the guy that lost his hearing, that sucks...
the sad thing is, this type of "operator error" is sometimes expected.... and now it's suggested that patients be diligent in telling the surgeon which side to operate on? come on man... give me a break!!
oh man, this is what years of med. school does to you. what are they teaching these doctors nowadays. & how are they passing these students if they cant tell which hemisphere is correct for the operation -_-"
Lmao.. I hope to become a neurosurgeon just like him when I grow up.. Just with the ability to hear, the ability to tell left from right, and the ability to take showers...
kinda odd. i expected them to know left from right, but i guess it happens. Should always have someone double check them. Thats a stranger.
It's the other left! They should make it a standard procedure to mark a patient's body part that has to undergo the surgery. (and write their own name on their forehead just to make sure the doctors/nurses haven't got the wrong patient)
aw when i read the title, i thought maybe operating on the wrong side of the brain would make him super smart or something. well at least he'll get a boatload of money ...
