What do you guys think about it.

I know a TON of people who do it

two guys tried doing it to me this year
meaning, breaking up with their gf and getting together with me
it kinda pisses me off, i dont want to know I'm just their second choice
or they just come to me becuase they are lonely

but i've actually seen some good long lasting relationships that developed from a rebound relationship

what experiances have you had with the issue?

I came into this thread and thought it was a sports chat....

Back to the subject. I had one experience with a rebound, and the girl turn out to be crazy. God I don't even want to think about it.

i think that after break ups, you should wait a while until you pass the rebound phase...then do what you want...i thought i liked a girl after i broke up with my girlfriend but i decided to wait and see first and good thing i did, i realized that i didn't like her and i told her that...i figured it would hurt her less if i did it that way than actually dating her then hurting her then...

She was my rebound. Whenever my friend brings up the girl, I just pretended it never happened.

bad experience with rebounding, you never would want to think of the person you used to love, but it still haunts you

actually most of my relationship were derived from rebound. i dunno if its a good thing or not but to me most of the relationship worked out pretty okay. ofcourse it may seem unfair to the other person, but time changes everything so its all for the better. =]

This rebounding never happened to me (or I never found out) and I've never tried it.

Many people go into relationships in a step-ladder manner, they go for a person and dump him/her if they find a better one. If they can't, then they go a step down for the next person below.

Best way to get over someone is to get under another. Or so I've heard.

    lol... literally?

i wanted to do this rebound thing... but i didnt let myself, i cant hurt someone knowin how it feels.
karma will get back at me. but.. i figure dating is ok... take it slow and maybe you'll end up forgetting the other one.

yeah well i don't have a problem, if both parties know what they are in for then yeah whatever.
But then again its not good to hurt the other person i guess

i've seen it happen to my friends. its never good to be the one being rebound. also...it will make that person who is the rebounder think he/she is all that just because they can dump one person and go to another one. that is just wrong.

    yea i feel similar
    i dont let myself
only cause i dont want to get stuck in a relationship
falling for a guy who has too many qualities i hate
