for those who have gone to interviews and asked weird questions, post them here i have some where it's more asked not to see if you know the answer, but to see how to you think. 1) you have a mountain here (points left), and you need to move the mountain here (points right) how do you do it? 2) you are given a baraometer now measure the height of a really tall building?
The 'weirdest' question I have been asked would be "Do you have a bf?" and actually, I am pretty much NOT obliged to answer it, but then I said NO, and he asked further, "Are you sure?" ... Then he said, "Oh we are asking because we don't want you to be applying for leave to get married anytime soon..." Wtf? -what?
lol dont go to work and if i did probably be working for my dad, cause i am guarenteed manager's pay of 13-18 dollars an hour, but im to young haha so i guess not yet
yes actually many companies do this it's to test to see how you think, what methods you approach i asked my dad, these later, it was an interesting conversation between him and me
Hmmm. The first question is a "black box" question. Basically, it is a problem solving and analytical question. Another way to phase it, is this. You are here"( career or otherwise - left), and you want to be in the right (progress in career), how do you do it? You have to analyse the environment, situation, and ask questions to go from the left to right!!! Like, are there trees in the way, people that resist you moving the mountian, are there technology, does your bf want you to move it (just kidding) etc. So to answer this question properly, then you have to get more info, and then give a soln... It is just a way to see how you approach a seemingly impossible task that's all....now about you being single in an interview ....
Weird Q's? Reminds me of my ex boss... I applied for internship via email and he already told me i could go there.... but then he asked for my picture... it would help to "speed things up" Errr...yeh..sure muahaha
Most of the interview questions which I had to answer were somewhat easy. But my dad tells me he used to ask a lot of thinking questions when he wanted to hire people.
1) i was really clueless about the mountain one i sid jusdt take a shovel and start moving dirt my dad's answer is, photoshop it another friend's answer was turn your body, so then the moutain now looks to me on your right 2) i used the baraometer as a ruler, and useing measurments of angles, and distance from the building geometry of proportions will calculate into the answer my dad's answer was impressive (he didn't even need a split second to answer me) measure the atomspheric pressure at ground floor with the baraomter (cause that is what it actually does) go to the top floor and measure the atosphereic pressure there find the difference, use some science equations and vo-la my friends answer was chuck the barometer run unto an evelator, count the number of floors find the height of one floor and calculate a rough number
