illiterate oxymoron - a combination of contradictory terms, also considered a paradox. It is usually reduced to two words that have an adverb-adjective or an adjective-noun relationship.
last week i worked about 50 hrs in 5 days. sometimes i complain about it but sometimes i don't. i don't mind the money. during projects like what i'm doing rite now i usually work about 60-70hrs a week.
48 hours a week isn't that much considering that normal/standard hours is about 40 neway and with all places, theres no more "standard" it seems i'm doing about 10 or just under 10 hours a day, and that seems normal some friends do about 80hrs for mon-fri, then extra stuff on weekends and thats normal, and not illegal how much u want to work is up to u, u don' thave to stay but if u dont' finish, and underperform, then say good bye =P
Wow, you are hardcore, seriously! I too have full course load at University, with 4 labs (science, woot!), and would like to keep working, volunteering, playing piano and football (soccer). But don't know if I can handle it....
40 hours a week is only illegal if you're under a certain age. You shouldn't complain about 48 hours. My friend is an i-banker, she works 90-100 hours a week easily.
lol internet banker? damn, u just sit in a chair all day and browse the net... i do that for like 3 hours a night on my spare time anyway
No... investment banker. Investment bankers advise their clients on high level issues of financial organization. They manage the issuance of bonds, recommend and execute strategies for taking over and merging with other companies, and handle selling a company’s stock to the public. Work weeks of 70 hours or more are common, and all night sessions before deals close are the rule rather than the exception.
Investment bankers normally retire super wealthy after 10-15 years or quit the business cause they are burnt out. I knew some crazy Russians who would hit the bars and then head straight back to work. Bet your friend had a good time last week with the sub prime craziness.
Impressive ! So many high school and college peeps working so many jobs and hours. Curious, how do you all find time to study, and how are your grades? I worked 100+ hours/wk routinely a few years back. Now I only work 36hrs/wk, but 12 hours each time I work. I-bankers bank coin, but majority only do it for a few years and then move on to other things. Have a friend who worked for a top 20 I-bank straight out of college banking 200k/yr for 5 yrs then quit cuz the hrs were killing her.
No, 14+ hours /day for 7 days a week. I worked like this one out of every couple months for a year, then each year became a little more tolerable. Went down to 80-90hrs/wk the second year, then 60-70hrs/wk the third year.
