U know whats funny.... when i was in jakarta and i saw ppl in the train i was thinking to myself... i really shouldnt complain about the trains in sydney because i cant find a seat anymore...because ppl were hanging on the train like that too =/ so u wont hear me complain anymore!

well...i saw some bad shit there....damn...i feel sorry for those ppl over there... as i was sitting in a nice car on my way to the shopping mall i saw so many child beggars and other bad things...my friend is already used to it....it doesnt do anything to her anymore.... but for me it was quite shocking...hmmm....oh well...what can u do...
When I was working in SG, a colleague asked me if I join him for a day in Indonesia. I declined the offer since I already know what I will see there: POVERTY!!! So I stayed in SG and enjoyed some good meals including some fresh sushi And did some shopping as well
Hmmm yeah.....its just so weird to see the differences... my friend's dad owns a factory with abt 70 employees. hes got a nice big house, 3 cars, 3 drivers and 2 maids... we went out for dinner almost every night and they all wear brand stuff.... her dad showed me his factory....he offers some of his employees a place to stay... like one of his sons ex class mates who is his driver now...he was actually from a very wealthy family but because his dad passed away and had a lot of depths he lost everything... he lives in the factory with his wife and 2 kids in a room as big as mine... =\ i guess he is still considered "lucky" at least he has an income...some parents tell their kids to go begging...like one of the child beggars i saw....he was about my lil nephews age.. i think 5 or something and he was holding his little baby sister while begging... when u see stuff like that...it does something to u

The Chinese are the elite in Indonesia. I have a friend who told me a story about a very wealthy Chinese Family in Indonesia. In Indonesia there is a very big ballroom for events. The Indonesian Government managed to hire half of this room, where the other half was hired by this family to celebrate the birthday of their 2 years old son.
