I dont understand before I pack for my trip to HK all my friends told to buy longer shorts, because the length of my shorts are too short to walk out into the street and not get sneer looks from the people same thing about some of my tank top, too releaving but but but if that's the case, how come all the stars are dressed up in short shorts and belly-less shirts
i've already had a scary encouter in HK though regarding this stuff Wearing shorts in the middle of the HK winter really turns some heads but from someone who is raised in the snow, 20C is warm!
when im in HK during winter, im in T-shirts or just a thin sleeved top but the true HKers rock puffer jackets, thick coats or snow wear although it is cold in the mornings especially in china, since none of the houses have insulation...
trust me...if ur walking on the streets in hk...u want to wear "proper" clothes... I wouldnt wear a tank top over there.... my grandmother was nagging on me when i wore a v neck top... it was with short sleeves and u couldnt see anything but she thought it was too revealing because it was a bit tight =/
proberly not enough brand names on it a female friend at the time told me the same thing... who knows.. perhaps you were looking that good the girls were just jealous...
lol..some helpful friend you have there...not. As if they would sneer, just wear "normal" clothes unless your old like 40+, then you could wear clothes with no sense of fashion.
it really dont matter how they look at u i mean hey u are a tourist then let them think that way not like its a big deal anyhow
lol.. when I go back to taiwan in the winter I wear shorts and a t-shirt. I walk down the street and people look at me like I'm from Mars. hehehe
Girls wear shorts? Shorts are usually found in Boys' Wear or Men's Wear shops and skirts are found in Ladie's shops and never in boys' or men's wear. Short girls' "shorts" were called hot pants. Girls don't wear shorts either even when they play tennis. They wear short skirts. Shorts with zips on the front is so manly! You would not get sneer looks in Hong Kong. They have seen it all in Hong Kong with so many millions of tourists coming from all parts of the world. Longer shorts, if you have to wear them, they are good if they have pockets lower down with buttons and zips. Then you are less likely to be pick pocketed but they are so unfeminine!
when i was there near fall/winter, i still walked around in sandals all day and all night everywhere i went. it's all about comfort!
I don't know man.. I wear shorts that are like up to my knees.. Some are a little longer that cover my knees. But whatever makes you comfortable ^^
