I would pick Zen over Ipod for videos as Ipod has really bad battery life for playing videos. If you are planning to use it more for music, the ipod will be the better choice.

i always wanted the zen before i got a sansa lol, but still heard that the 60gb version could double up as a harddrive, i don't know if the harddrive mode is plug and play though...
what on a zen? well i know my zen can act just like a mass storage device, with no special drivers, as long as you set it up on the zen

zen is awesome...the software that comes with it, drag and drop, converts most video without any hassle...as for the ipod...well, there are softwares out there...but still...zen is better in this category. the ipod looks way better...but in terms of usability, both should be the same...the zen has more options...and remember, the menu system on the zen, ipod actually copied them...so...both menu navigation is good...

ive been using the the zen m vision for a year and a half and it totally pwns the ipod. It has more colours , brighter video , radio, radio recorder and voice recorder. Now all the ipod junkies only know is ipod and itunes you shouldn't listen to them. You do not need to use itunes and convert ur crap to mp4 which can take hrs. Drag and drop with zen takes 20-40 secs a movie just like a normal hrd would. Battery Life , Movies 3-4 hrs vs the ipods 1:30 mins? mp3 15 hrs. When it was released it was known as the iPod Killer. I've compared it side by side from ipods and yes its a lil thicker but brighter and easier to grip. If you decide to join the ipod band wagon then get ready for long waiting time on video conversions plus the fact u look like any other noob holding an ipod. Zen FTW its a better product overall we all know that except for ipod users. Oh yes its got tv support if u have the plug , plays most xvid,avi,mpg and wmvs
^ some serious ipod hatin' there lol but there is truth to it, i talk shit to people using ipods too, but the truth is ipod is still the best selling mp3 player out there....i hate it when my T.A.s ask us a question about do we own ipods, they are basically referring all mp3 players in general to "Ipod" lol
