I bought a 60G PS3 recently and found out that, other than the picture quality, nothing else matches PS2. Any comments?
eee...wat do you mean nothing matches the ps2? library? well the ps2 has been out for what 6 years now vs 8 months for the ps3 so of course the ps2 will have a larger library graphics? well the ps3 graphics are much superior to the ps2 machines graphics entertainment machine? the ps3 definitely works better than my ps2 as an entertainment machine, since it plays all kinds of movie media and video and music...my ps2 can't even play mp3 i think ya need a few examples to help back up your claim....
yep its exactly the same look wise, but its now wireless, six axis controller meaning you can tilt the remote to control, was playing motorstorm with the controller like a steering wheel, so much fun!
i stil havent brought a ps3 yet probably when i buy it hopefully price will drop a bit so i use the money saved to buy a game cuz a game system without a game is almost useless
There is NO way PS3 is going to drop below the price of $499 already. They're losing money when they sell each system. I would just go buy the 60gb ps3 right now. maybe sooner there wont be a 60gb anymore only 80gb which i heard that they took out some function on the 80gb. so i would buy the 60gb now! -dead
if u spent so much money on a ps3 and u see no difference compared to your old ps2 then it would be wise to get a refund cus u obviously aint getting your moneys worth.
^why not just wait till some of the big games come out, cause youll be wanting a ps3 then also is the reason OP may not be seeing any difference cause he aint got a full 1080p HD TV if there are no games out that dont take your fancy atm, buy some bluray films and enjoy some HD qual
i am waiting patiently for tekken 6 and metal gear solid to come out on the ps3 until i buy one ^^ hehe
yea.. you will need a LCD TV that supports 1080p (1920x1280) or something like that. Cant wait til GTHD come out so love racing games..
Ah yeas this is true concerning the 1080p TV, my xbox 360 on my normal widescreen tv is TERRIBLE, i couldnt belive it, so i bought a HD cable and hooked it up to my HD lcd screen and its awesome. now i can do my work and play games at the computer desk if u aint got HD monitor then ps3, xbox360 is quite pointless as it will prolly look worse than your ps2 games (for xbox360 it does anyway)
It's all about the TV and the game that what resolution it can support. like ridge racer 7, it can support all kinds of resolution while some of the game like NFS carbon.. only 720p. So check the label on the back of the blu-ray game disk. It says what resolution it can go up to.
