wth...why wouldn't you be proud of being chinese? We've endured for 5000+ years AND we're fast becoming the world's greatest economic superpower. Why WOULDN'T you be proud?
that chinese lady that said she isnt proud of being chinese must have hit her head on something!! of course i am proud of being chinese!! we make good food, we're smart, we have a great entertainment industry..gotta love the entertainment world, and we respect each other...at least where i live they do. i am proud of being a chinese!!
How could you be proud of being chinese if all they do is destroy the environment. There is like 1.3 billion people in china and they are destroying the world. The chinese also waste resource, some items need 6 times the amount of resource to make what takes the japanese to make one.
Living in England makes you realise how proud you are to be Chinese because you always hear about the things that Chinese do, how they help the world, technology, how the students are smart etc. So it makes me proud to be part of that.
I think it is cool to be asians.... i especially like the feeling when walking around downtown with the chinese friends... the worst one i have ever heard was "are you guys members of the mafia" the guy was deadly scared then i said "what you think?" haha
muhaha i am proud of being chinese ^^ we can talk about people while they are there and they wont understand muhahahah... plus the food is always a great highlight hmmmm i duno where i'll be without my dim sum and egg tarts =D... but i gotta admit i am only half tho >.< my other half is vietnamese
Chinese are like this, when people criticize us, we defend till death. But please think about what we have done within "ourselves", pickpocketing in ShenZhen, making soy sauce from hair, injection with fake medicine.... When you meet mainland travellers in HK, you will see them spitting/littering on the street, jumping into quenes, smoking in non-smoking area.... In order to be proud of being chinese, you really need to know what chinese really do....and what they are strong and weak at ... I am not proud, but I am just chinese hong konger.
I'm proud of my heritage, but I'm also proud of being a Canadian. That doesn't mean I'll disagree with someone if they make a INTELLIGENT negative comment about either Canada or China. I know there are problems with both that need to be solved. I know that the government isn't perfect, and the huge effect each of them have on the environment. Just because you're of Chinese heritage, doesn't mean you have to be blind.
i think people get complacent when they live in a community with a lot of chinese people or don't experience enough of the culture during their life.
whenever and whereever i'll always love my country--------China! But I want to clarify that I just love a really equal , democratic,free china. Not the antocular corrupt,arbitrary,dark China governed by GCD.-nono That's my pain & sadness.
