You can go wrong on Sony with many things. For example: Cameras, Laptops, Mp3, Headphones, and ECT A lot of sony products are over priced. You can find the same quality from other brands (or even better) for a cheaper price.
Personally I rather get a PS3 or 360 before I get the Wii. I guess you could put me under the "hardcore gamers" category, and there aren't that many games for hardcore gamers on the wii.
I got a Wii before i got the ps3.. wii is pretty fun for multiplayer games.. while ps3 is all about the graphic but you'll need a tv that can support 1080p (1920x1280 resolution) if you dont have the tv.. no point of getting ps3 or xbox360.. it might be even worser than ps2 or an old xbox if you dont have the resolution to support it
i have a wii and 360. they are both awesome but i prefer the 360 more because of general satisfaction and fun. the ps3 is just going to deplete my wallet. 360 interface and gaming experience online is just more fun too.
wait for Xmas before deciding, i'm sure there will be plenty of good deals. But I would personally buy a PS3.
wii, mainly bcos i bought one and it is great fun when there are a lot of ppl around. it also makes u look like a fool if u playing boxing and other ppl are watching which adds to the fun. u can also lose a bit of weight i reckon if u play for a long time on physically demanding games.
That's why they have the extended warranty for that. Besides their starting to ship the xbox systems with the new CPU last I heard, but I might be wrong. and 5 bucks says PS3 home will charge you like live within a year of its non-beta release.
