Well if you go more up north you can still get some long winters, but still not like how it used to be.
the window is opened and my hands are FREEZING and im wearing a sweater and its still SUMMER i bet dubai don't have snow
At least T. can still say it is the tallest tower in North America... If that's any consolation... -rolleyes As for the amount of snow and precipation in general, visit the Atlantic provinces and you'll know what you've been missing, the climate is slightly milder than inland MTL, TO, WPG or even CLG, but the amount of snow? OVERWHELMING.
dubai is beautiful and developing very rapidly. there creating lots of interesting landmarks that will attract tourists. i think its a pretty safe place to visit.
isnt it all about prestige and making a landmark -shrug i doubt many people could afford to live in the super tall skyscrapers
^ but if they cant pay for it, rich people can pay for it. still a home for some human beings.. i seriously doubt theyd make a building just for the heck of it.. it has to have a primary function, which is a home, and its secondary function, perhaps the prestige of having the highest building..
well ya gotta think that most of these super sky scrapers are actually built in the heart of business areas and then are filled with offices and shopping malls but i would say its mainly to attract large multi-national businesses to use it as a HQ, rather than as homes for people
well that too.. i guess a percentage of buildings are used for business, others for homes.. now considering the space is small, they make sky scraper buildings to take advantage of the space in the air, so we can cram more people in.. meh.. doesnt matter..
hrmmm...this is like a sandbox competition between two little kids. they could have used the money and resources for something better than this ostentatious building ????=/
as i do recall, making spaces for our ever growing population, whether its for business or as homes, is for something better..
