hii, i have this art appreciation homework assignment where i have to draw something that has a lot of detail, like a hand. the teacher said i can't erase or take my pencil off my paper and i don't know what to draw. >.< do you guys have any ideas for me?
oh! i remember doing something like that.... i had to draw a hand.. the trick is to emphasize on the shadow of whatever youre doing, and use the darkest part of the shadow to move your pencil around, that way, you wont lift your pencil off the drawing =) sort of a highway if you see what i mean..
How come u guys always get art classes and all that...=( we in holland only get that in high school or if ur studying art...
in ontario, during your first year in high school, its mandatory to take one art class, whether its music, drama, or visual arts. i took the last one.. actually drama too but that was in my second hs year.. anyways, so yea just like in holland, art is for high school or art college..
Ooohhhh....okok... we had music too...but that sucked they made us sing dumb songs...anyway i would like to have drama class....that seems cool
Details? Draw old buildings, classical style ones... it demostrates your skill in hues/contrasts/shadows, proportion, perspective, and more detail than you would ever want, if you are so inclined... -unsure Although I still remember drawing a dancer for one of those assignments, and even though my teacher grilled me for not having enough details, the movement and texture made up for the loss -^_^
lol, where i am, you have to have at least 1 credit of art/music to graduate. so yeaa. and i drew a shirt that had alot of wrinkles on it. lol. it cam e out better den i expected.^^
this may sound totally off but try draw a koi fish? or any type of fish that has lots of detail? my friend drew a koi fish and it took her some time but after she did, it looked really nice with all the details and everything.
well if you think about it, anything you look at has a huge amount of detail, its just how much attention you pay to it but i think if you just look out the window, youve got something highly detailed just waiting
oh ......im taking art too since I need at lease one credit in fine arts........im currently drawing a school of fish swimming together.....it's taking forever =/
My 2 cents: draw a mighty eagle! I had to do this same assignment with charcoal and it worked perfectlly for me. (although I have to add I was quite mad at the time as a classmate suggested the idea of my other drawing project was borrowed from an existing game>>> and if I'm angry I apparently can draw better than when I'm not)
