my bro is like almost 6ft and i'm only 5 feet 8. i have a friend that is about my height but his younger brother is taller than us. and his younger sister is getting pretty tall too
i think this is a 50/50 kinda of thing some people can stimulate their growth with proper nutrition or live a certain life style, i have friends with smaller siblings who are mostly shorter than them but some have siblings that are like a foot taller than them...
Hmmm.... somehow i dont quite agree on this finding. Genetics play a role in here not only the reasons they mentioned.
same here.... in fact....im taller than my sis....and all my younger cousins are taller than there sis/bro 2 =/
all i want to be is just an inch or two taller than my height now but i know i'll probably never surpass my older brother's height. it's just outta reach and i'm gonna stop growing pretty soon.
how much CM are u? ur a girl right? dont worry about it ....its ok to be short if ur an asian girl hehe
Well, supposingly the younger sibling should have inherited inferior gene (due to accumulation of random mutation) right? And also, for many exceptions, it may have something to do with the environment factor i.e.: migration, relocation etc. Someone bred and grew in Hong Kong vs. a younger sibling who is bred and grew in foreign countries (America, Europe, Australia etc.) may have a different lifestyle...
Of course I am wicked. But really, I think it's not quite fair to comparing girls vs. guys since the average height of female is definitely shorter than that of male...
Why not? Since the fetus is compose of the chromosomal sum of its father and mother, if their gene are damaged by accumulative random mutation, wouldn't the baby be more likely to inherit those random mutations (and in turn possibly more prone to diseases?)
