CHICAGO (Reuters) - Americans' hands are getting dirtier, U.S. researchers said on Monday. They said 77 percent of more than 6,000 men and women washed their hands in public restrooms -- a 6 percent decline compared with a similar study in 2005. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, handwashing in the single-most important prevention step for reducing disease transmission. In a telephone survey, 92 percent of adults said they wash their hands in public conveniences, according to the study done by the American Society for Microbiology and The Soap and Detergent Association. But the study, which also conducted research at public restrooms, showed people's actions were not always matching their claims. Men were the biggest offenders, with just 66 percent of men seen washing their hands in public bathrooms, compared with 88 percent of the women, according to study presented at the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy meeting in Chicago. "Very clearly, guys need to step up to the sink," said Brian Sansoni, a spokesman for the soap industry group, told reporters. "One third of guys weren't washing their hands in public restrooms. That's gross." i remember last time i was a home theather installer and i was sent out to a ghetto part of sf one day. dude in the apartment was a drug recovery guy. still looked like a crack head. n e way get up to his apartment and it smells like shit, looks like shit, it is shit. this job was one that wasn't prepaid so i ask him for the 150. he gets pissed and calls his rep person and has them talk to me. i was O SHIT..... my partner was standing next to the door and i was closer to the phone. i looked at my partner and gave him the "fuck no i'm not touching that" face. he looks at me and does a little giggle. long story short i had to talk with the rep and got out of the house rite away without taking payment and went to the store to buy hand sanitizer and rub it all over my face. worst job i've ever done
yes u must be...u even googled a pic of that spray thingy... but a portable version of that wouldnt be a bad idea...i could also spray it on robbers or ppl who try to harm me....use it like pepperspray @ah_wong u shouldnt mind...if uve read the rest of the article (link) u would have read this hahaha "Chicago was the city with the cleanest hands overall. fuken people on welfare and shit, i hate it. get so many of them coming in to the pharmacy and when they see they have to pay like 5 dollars or w/e they just outright refuse. And when we tell them that their plans only cover up to that certain amount and that they should just pay and try to get reimbursement from their reps they try to get us to jump through a bunch of hoops and contact their social service providers or tell us a sob story about how they really need their meds but cant pay at the moment. its fuken ridiculous, especially after an 8 hour shift of goin hard. takes alot of effort to stop myself from tellin these vagrants to stop complaining and go work for a living. We live in a first world country, there are hand outs everywhere and there are still people who cant take care of themselves because they are too damned lazy. fuk another thing thats been bugging me too, is one day after i left work i was ambushed by this native guy on his bike and he was like 'man i need some cash to catch a bus and go to a funeral... i really need it, you gotta help me out etc. etc.' after i while i just got fucken fed up and didnt want this guy beside me all the way to my car and fished out some change. then i got in my car and watched him ride straight over to the burger king across the street and go inside. fucken sakes >_< (sry for ranting)
seriously panhandlers suck lol, i saw this dude rocking fresh kicks and an expensive football jacket, dude still begging...i was like wtf...And yeah these two women were asking everyone for money following me and shit but they didn't even look poor...
Hahaha....in some countries like in NL...i dont understand why there are panhandlers in the first place i mean....the government provide them everything but they still choose to sleep on park benches...??!! and yeah some of them are wealthy =/
