LOL, another case of crazy bureaucracy not unlike the whole "charging an old lady for not watering her lawn"... Idiocy sees no geographic boundaries -lol
this actually happened to people i know.. and i find it absolutely stupid. old people = white/gray hair. obvious. lol i was buying beer at the local beer store, showed them my id, and the dude asks for my home address.. this rids all doubts that the id was faked. apparently, dumbass kids who get forged ids dont even bother memorizing the address on their fake ids..
I've been asked, REPEATEDLY, my date-of-birth and year-of-birth. If I really need to forge my ID, I would memorize whatever year I "need" to be born in <_< And yeah, the whole asking an elderly for an ID thing? I guess the man should take that as a compliment? He just look THAT young -unsure
What is your date and yr of birth Hiake -evil jkjk this is what happens when you hire ppl without a brain
in UK, general rule is if you look under 21, you need to prove your 18 or over, but this is silly... i guess what he said about, if they had said its just policy even though he is clearly over 21, then it would have been ok
Maybe the store required every empolyee to ask no matter how old the person look. It makes sense. It's not the employee's fault.
But if its obvious,,,, I mean he has wrinkles, not as much hair and mostly grey.... I don't think it really is necessary to ask that kind of question
AND it seems like the supermarket doesn't even show any signs of wanting to apologise -_-2 i think that's really poor customer service.
well in some places I've been too, they are now required to input drivers license info, so that's kinda would put anyone into the same situation once again if they just forgot to bring their ID out
^that's way too much trouble just to buy alcohol. I would definitely avoid going to a place like that.
