Okay it's just a couple days until the mid-autumn festival (September 25) or Tet Trung Thu in viet. So what type of mooncakes you like, i personally like the thap cam(viet) or the 5 flavored mooncake or something, it has like wintermelon and some type of nut in it...Heard there was like a sharkfin one too and oh yea the soft white ones are good too. And the lotus paste one's lol. ^Oh man the "piggies" never had those in like forever, don't think they sell them here anymore ^Add some of that and you ready to celebrate lol...
^that was about the festival right?, lol i'm just talking about the food hehe...mooncakes in the food section that makes sense right....-tongue2
OOooo...mooncakes are good once in awhile...and drinking tea to digest the fat/oil...the new "bing pay" ones are sometimes good....the strawberry ones aren't bad...but the traditional ones are better, except i hate the egg yok... Mmmm..starting to crave for one right now...lol
Woah! Huge mooncake! Uhmzz... haven't taste all types of mooncakes yet, so I guess I'll go for the original one =)
wow, didn't even know there was different mooncakes, thought every mooncake had the same stuffings. =P I'd only eaten a mooncakeformed like a square and with some kind of egg in the middle of the cake. But the others mooncakes look soooo delicious I'd like to try them now! =D
It's ok to have a piece of one mooncake once a while and I've tried the iced chocolate ones but there isn't much difference with the normal ones if you aks me (only that the iced ones will melt quickly) >>>they're all very sweet anyway.
I actually don't really like mooncakes. Don't know why, maybe it's the egg yolk and stuff but I tend to stay away from them But those white ones look pretty delicious actually. What's inside them?
yea the yolk is nasty freaking dry and salty tasting, people pay like 1-2 dollars extra for that, won't even want it if it's free, i prefer my mooncakes yolk-free...
