Early Halo 3 Limited Edition Owners Plagued by Scratched Discs Shoddy Halo 3 packaging leads to scratched game discs A lot of people will be buying shiny, new copies of Halo 3 this week, but some of them will get home to find scratched discs straight out of the box. Early reports from lucky early owners of the Halo 3 Limited Edition on gaming forum NeoGAF found that the game discs have broken free from the hubs that were supposed to secure the discs into place. Unlike the regular Xbox 360 green game boxes, the Halo 3 Limited Edition ships in a black tin box with center hubs too shallow to adequately hold the DVDs in place. As a result, consumers may find discs that have been freely floating around inside the box that have been scratched up by the very hub that was supposed to keep it in place. “A friend just opened 3 copies of Halo 3 Limited Edition and with all three copies both disc were loose inside of the package and scratched to death,” explained the original poster of the thread. “This Limited Edition has a piss poor plastic nub and foam pad disc holding design that is a major flaw and the discs pop off with ease.” Although Halo 3 has yet to launch to the public, forum participants who work at game stores have chimed in with their own experience after examining (by shaking and listening for loose discs) their inventory. “I picked up 2 collectors tins today at work, and they both felt like the disc came loose in them. This is a horrible sign,” said one store employee. The same conditions may also apply to the game in other territories. “I saw a few PAL copies yesterday … and they were all the same. Every LE had two loose discs in the box, both badly scratched. The one we tested seemed to play ok but they're getting sent back as faulty anyway. It's not like they could be sold in that condition,” reported another store worker from overseas. So far, reports of scratched discs apply only to the $69.99 Limited Edition, but not to the $59.99 Standard Edition or the $129.99 Legendary Edition. http://www.dailytech.com/Early+Halo...rs+Plagued+by+Scratched+Discs/article9010.htm

it never say they bought 3 copies i don't think. the peeps that work in the shop opened 3 halo packages due to the rattling inside. further down it says they were returned as faulty. i believe this happened before the game was released to the general public, i may be wrong though. people buy legendary so they can feel special (or something like that) ill be getting standard edition, if i want artwork etc ill download it
Thank you for pointing that out, the halo series is way overrated!! If you want to play a fps than play counter-strike 1.6 owns halo any day. Don't play cs source though that game sux!
^counter-strike is overrated (mostly for people who can't handle fps with better graphics) play unreal tournament 2004! lol everybody just have their own opinions... but even though halo might be overrated i still want to play it regardless, same with unreal tournament 2007 when it comes out.
I guess your right everyone has their own opinions. I only play cs when I have matches/scrims I don't pub anymore lol. Never tried unreal tournament... the game looks too futuristic to me.
well resistance:fall of man can beat the shit out of halo already halo is fuxking stupid!...i played the halo and halo 2 already- - and i am not interested in halo3 cuz it is kinda boring
imo CS 1.6 is crap, no gun recoil, just simple shooting. Source is better as it requires a brain. UT 2004 is good, but to frantic for any real strategy, good 20 min session is good though (i have this game) halo is good, even better when u get good at it and play online. and all big releases are overrated, the magic of PR.
I'm sry, you don't know cs. It's the other way around. Source has no recoil believe me I played it before. Source does not need a brain, most people that I play on source are way too easy. whereas in 1.6, it's more challenging. That's another reason why 1.6's fan base excels source's fan base. I'm just saying this on behalf of the GOOD players in cs.
leave CS alone= = CS is outdated already... if u compare CS with RS i will pick RS >RS needs more team work then CS.... and i am gonna try the full version of resistance...i think thats realli a good game
o yea by the way= = in CS sniper is god damn stupid there is no point for ppl to play with that god damn sniper thats why i hated cs so much
