do you pretend to like your gifts?

I'm just curious
I've always had issues with this


I've always liked my presents (whether i was pretending to or not)
which often leads to more bad presents becuase I give such a great expression when i recieve what i get


and it's worst when my best friends gives me something i HATE
and she's like of course i know what she likes, because we're so close





but on the opposite side, I have given gifts to people
in which i got a reaction
you know i would never use this
or one actually said
you know that this is just going to end up in the trash
and it really hurt


so are you honest?
and do you wish people where honest with you?

 

i just suck it up... its just an gesture towards you.. its already really cool that you get a present dont be so high demanding dont be spoiled and be happy that people actully think about you

 

I dont know, cuz people usually give me either money or alcohol.... cuz they know what I want... but even if you dont like the present, I think you just should accept it since its quite harsh to say that you dont like that gift...

 

yea or else maybe he wont give you anything in the future hahaha

 

Yeah~~ totally agree... How also we must just accept it with happiness.. This is because the least is they remember your birthday~~ So it till mean that your status is being remembered by them....!!

 

exactly If its a good friend that gave you the present, you should be happy with it, its a good friend afterall and it shows he/she does care about you, but do not always understand what you want....

 

Giving gifts and receiving gifts is not about the item, its all about the fact that you remembered the occasion.

 

i don't pretend to like the gifts cause i always liked the gifts that people gave me anyway.
i think it's the thoughts that count!

 

I usually accept it and make the best usage even though i usually dont use it everyday.

 

Me and my friends are pretty blunt towards eachother...
If one of us dont like it we just say so....i mean if i buy something and spend money on a gift i want the other person to like it...and thats how my friends feel about it too....
thats why we always keep receipts just in case

but...If for example...my auntie would give me something i dont like i just pretend that i do....just out of respect

 

it really depends on who it's from... if it's something from my parents, close friends or bf i always love it even if it's a piece of useless junk... it's the thought that counts...

but if it's something i dun like from someone i'm not close with then i'll just wrap it up n give it to someone else...

 

it's hard to tell people that you don't like their gifts. but sometimes, it's just obvious when you fake it. so for me, it basically depends on if the giver can figure it out, but I won't say anything

hey gurl we cant read ur mind what you like ar ;P so just tell it instead of playing games... that so annoying buying presents >.< youll never know if the one likes it since they always say "im happy with every present"

 

well there're certain things girls would like for sure... eg. most of designer branded stuff

 

some gifts i don't like but i just take it and be thankful for it.
i don't think i've seen my friends fake a happy face when they recieve my gifts. i usually impress ppl with my gifts.
if i don't think u'll like my gift, then i won't get u one.

 

im not pay 100 euro for just a normal friend are you out of ur mind? XD

but I think cash is so impersonal .. but I guess it depends on who the gift is from. if it's someone that's close to me, I expect a present instead of cash.
