Why start small when you can release it worldwide and hence catch the bastard quicker (i doubt it costs interpol any more money, and you gain results quicker) As to why this case is so high profile, it may be that this is a very prolific paedophile and they cant pin point his exact location, so they cant just release his pic in one country Since media is global, its very easy to just put the pic out on the internet and the news companies around the world will just pick up on it Really your killing hundreds of birds with one stone -lol
Saw that face on the Interpol site because I was curious when I read the news on ceefax and as far I know, this is the first time Interpol urged the public to look out for a pedophile. (but I could be wrong)
