is it worth getting if i already have wmp, vlc and real player. does it take up a lot of space?

if get this then you might aswell uninstall real player . . .

media player classic plays .rm and .rmvb files anyway and i personally like this too. Didn't like real player that much

MPC takes up only a little bit of space... you can listen to music and do something else and it won't lag as much as when you use like real/vlc or any other players

Or you can uninstall realplayer and install real alternative (which takes up less space) and play RMVB files with windows media player. Unless you have a problem with the way VLC plays MKV files. I do so that's why I have MPC installed to play my MKV files.

got the real alternative player only because realplayer can't read the vobsub files. my divx worked for them first but i dunno why it don't work anymore. i have media player classic but rarely use it.

If you want to play RM and RMVB on WMP just download Real Alternative.

don't worry about it i got it sorted, i just got the k-lite codec pack and that comes with media player classic and has all the codecs for it to play just about every single file there is out there.

In tech forums, a lot of people suggest newbs use MPC if they can't play MKV I think.

I only use the standard Windows media player 11 and Real Alternative to play all of my media files. I also have installed the codec named FFDshow.

There isnt a thing what i couldnt play with the programs what i have wrote above.

yea there are the codecs that come with k-lite codec pack, so u can play all the files on wmp but it also contains media player classic which is basically the same but i think it is better as it takes up less ram and loads much quicker. other from that it has the same functionality.
