hahahaha... we're talking abt not so close fds... he doesn't wanna get those "not so close" fds things they dun like n dun wanna spend too much on the things they like... so yeah... i say cash works for me -bigsmile
omg! i just got a gift and i have like 9 days to return it and its in HK!! this sux its a 30" necklace .925 silver..but the style is really WEIRD =(
depends.... if the gifts are good ill be happy, if the gifts aint as hot, ill fake it. I meant, i still gotta thank them for giving me a gift, regardless of wat it is.
I never told anyone I don't like their gifts... Just suck it up and smile But if that person's REALLY close to me.. like my bf, then he probably should know what i would like and not like.
well, i dont recieve gifts that often but when i do, im usually surprise and well i guess i like it and its the thought that counts not the value of the present itself.
yeah i pretend i like it when i get something stupid... because... i do like it becoz the other bought it for ME... it's just the thought that is most important ^^ too bad it's not nice.. but i wont say anything about that
i seldom get any gifts so theres actually nothing to pretend about. i feel that its the thought that counts. whether i like the gift or not is another matter. . .
No one is ever obliged to give a gift during any occasions. People give because they want to. It's the thought that they remembered it's your birthday or whatever occasion that counts. I'm happy with every gift that I get, whether big or small. Not to say that every gift is useful or nice (I've had my fair share of not-so-useful gifts) but a gift is a gift and it's the thought that counts. Well, I think so anyway.
i dont agree at all i DO give many gifts because of obligation i feel obligated to get souviers from my trips for friends i dont want to, but request it I feel obligated to GIVE presents to the people who get me presents, because they expect it (I even got yelled at once for not getting them the right present) Damn people, yes I hate it, but i still do it in high school i felt obligated to get a present for THIS person, if i gave a present to THAT person (because i wanted to) of course most of the gifts i give out aren't because of these reasons, but they do pop up
i always have to pretend........ how can u be grateful for a pickle ornament or a wind chime...... especially a wind chime for a chinese person.......it's gonna be like a ghost fiesta at my house
i will be happy with any gift no matter what because i believe the fact that they've even thought of you and went out to buy something just to give to you is a brillant gesture in itself. i believe them giving you the gift is probably worth more than the gift itself.
no matter good or bad i will accept as someone said: Giving gifts and receiving gifts is not about the item, its all about the fact that you remembered the occasion
