I don't think all asians look alike. People just said that because they're not familiar with a particular race's face feature. For example, I used to think that all whites look alike

 

@haun: i used to think chinese people were loud too, but someone put it into perspective for me. chinese people probably sound loud amongst english people because they're the only ones with a different language, therefore more noticeable. while a few english-speaking people amidst a crowd of chinese people probably sound loud, no?

you can just see on their skin colour lol...chinese has the darkest compared to jap n korean...jap has the lightest i guess...
damn...this thread knda reminded me now...when i was kingergarten, some stupid ppls used to diss asians like me al the tym ><"...stickin their fingers to their eyesbrows and raising them up, callin "ching chang chong"...n shit like that...man i wish i cld of threw me fist at their face then ><"....

no,there the traits are different but other people of cultures think that all asians look alike..today,from tuition,someone told me 'all chinese looks alike'...had heard this too many times..

All Asian people does look kinda alike. Most of the girls i know and see everyday are the same height as every other one. Tell me im wrong about this. -what?

 

-.- Not all asians look the same. Someone thought I was Korean at school and then mistaked me for some filipino kid that they say looks like me.

 

But both Korean AND Filipino are part of "Asian"... <_<

 

My friend told me of an Asian homestay who stayed with a white family, and when they had his friends over for a meet and greet the mother kept calling all his friends 'Ching'. Later on after the party ended she said to him, "I cant remember anyone's name, you all look alike ! That's why I called everyone Ching."

So when the white family had their white friends over, the Asian Homestay called everyone "Smith". The mother was annoyed at him and asked him why he couldn't call her friends by their names. He replied "Cause you all look like each other too."

 

haha.. what he means by those examples are not to back up his reply on why asians do not all look the same.. but to illustrate how asians are seen as the same even when we are 'obviously' not.
