I was shock that Liverpool lost and Chelsea won. Did not expect Ranger and Celtic to win their games either but this is football.
Liverpool were horrendous against Marseille, and Rafa's selection policy continues to boggle the mind. Like Aurelio and Leto preferred to riise and babel.
Man Liverpool should've won... Haha first Rangers beat Lyon 3-0 away then Celtic beats AC Milan 1-0 at home.
i've been reading all this stuff from the aftermath of the liverpool vs marseilles game nad i really think crouch and torres doesn't work. and now that torres is here, wenever i see crouch he looks really useless. hopefully ther better against tottenham..

Crouch is just a gimmick of a striker, far to one dimensional. He has the size but rarely uses it and always get penalized. He has a good touch, too bad he lacks the pace needed to do anything. When you seen him get the ball, you already know that he'll just pass it off. It makes me angry everytime I see him play.
he may look stupid out there... but he's a goal scorer... 34 starts and 26 goals last season... immense in CL... statistics alone... he started just a little more than half the games Ronaldo or Rooney started and still netted the same amount of goals... hey he can make me angry any day if he can pull that off every season playing for my team...
^Shame really, well it's still early and he may start yet... I mean, there's nothing else to say... who wouldn't start Torres or Owen over Crouch?
^ yeh.. well the thing about liverpool is that when they play crouch they'd have to play high balls.... that would work with torres in a way since he's good in the air... but that's the only style you could play with crouch, i mean he aint got pace even though he has a good first touch to turn defenders. Liverpol right now are trying to play football like arsenal/man u in a way which means leaving crouch of. England against Russia today.
I don't think that's really much of a problem for Crouch cuz Kuyt does a goodjob facilitating everything for him much like Rooney and Crouch last year... if i remember correctly... the only reason England was shat was Lampard + Gerrard = fail... ah... and we mustn't forget the Crouch bycicle kick... ah memories-whistle

Arsenal were mightily impressive tonight, harder tests to come with games against liverpool and man u to come. Atm though they are playing some good stuff.
