So you prefer more goals in the net? You can't scrap a goalie just because of your team's awful defense. After the performance Toskala gave, Maurice would be mad not to give him the start in the next game. EDIT: BTW. I watch a little bit of the Canucks/Oilers game. And I gotta say. The Oilers are horrible this year.

I really don't see Maurice starting Raycroft next game. Toskala played a great game and still lost. I would let him play the next game for sure and I know Pat Quinn would do the same thing.

^ You expected things to change? All we really gained from the off-season was a goalie. We didn't get any defense or any real offense. Everything is still the same. But sucks that Peca's not playing, he made the team so much better for the few games he was in.
things for the leafs are not going to change until they get a prominent GM in the mix....JFJ is not an experiened GM, nor is he the man to guide the Leafs' future
Unfortunately I did not watch the whole game, because Chuck and Heroes was on TV. But I did watch the first period and highlights the morning after. Judging by the first period and some of the other goals scored. I gotta say Toronto was pretty strong offensively. They made nice plays that resulted in a sprawling goaltender or a goal. Unfortunately (just like always) the defense screwed up and cost Toronto the game. I saw the own goal by McCabe and it was pretty bad. I don't see how he could've cleared it like that. Well I guess things like that happen, but he's lucky he wasn't in the ACC. He would've got booed to death.
I think the GM will be fired before paul maurice... maurice just got here. JFJ needs to go in order for this team to rebuild.

WTF! I watched the game and it was just horrible. The leafs scrambled, Raycroft was being a idiot and the fans were booing (which they should have done). What makes it even worse is that it was while facing the BLACKHAWKS! Bravo leafs, bravo. You guys are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference.
blackhawks are a good young team on the rise...did you see guys see them toying with us in our zone..they are so damn quick they stayed in our zone for like 3 minutes cycling the puck. -lol leafs = slowest team ... hawks = one of the fastest. You mean the part where the fans were booing the leafs? Ya I saw that. It was complete trash. They were unorganized and just kept skating in circles trying to get the puck. AND RAYCROFT! Being the dumbass he is! Decided not to freeze the puck when he had the chance, but instead give it back to the Hawks. Its not about the blackhawks being good, its about the Leafs being horrible.
