Anyone really care about the politics anymore? I mean, we have a joke in the Conservative party (Tory's idea of funding religious schools? Great idea, you just stabbed off the voters who have kids in non-religious schools), and honestly, McGuinty's one hell of a liar; he should be happy that he's got zero competition.

I voted for the NDP; higher taxes aren't the worst thing in the world......they're just bad when the government totally misuses the surplus that they get.

I am against Tory fundamentally. NDP and Green party are just too idealistic to give them any power.

I honestly would have voted for the Marijuana party, but I didn't see them. I should have just not voted...only a 52% of people voting this time?

How about no. Unless you want the Provincial government to have no money, and therefore decrease our funding in Health care, Education, Roads, and ECT.

I dislike all. Its all about who I dislike the less.

As it happens, Ontario is also the most populated province in Canada, and with the greatest disparity in income AND population density. And for the record? Canada isn't known to be very good with its finances while renowned for its short-sightedness.

Ever wonder why Ontario has the HIGHEST tuition in all of Canada? Given what you said is true, the only possibility is that Ontario doesn't care about social programs, health care, transit, education, infrastructure; or oh, they are incapable of spending wisely to save their neck. So more money coming in doesn't mean more money to be used on programs, but more money going into waste by retarded (not to mention myopic) bureaucracy.

Which means, increasing tax wouldn't help the situation. Reducing tax, on the other hand, while NOT improving on their lavish (and brainless) manner of spending, would definitely harm the poor who rely on infrastructures and social programs.

Not exactly Ontario politics, but federal stuff.

I think I am the only person who is currently annoyed by Stephen Harper's throne speech and the subsequent blackmailing. I think the Liberals (and/or any other opposition party) should grow a spine and let him call for his oh-so-beloved election.

It's just annoying that Harper use the whole "support me or I'll call for an election and blame the absolute waste of money on your party"... One of these days he's going to get away with a bill which cast all non-conservatives into exile North of the Arctic Circle, since opposition parties are so chicken to be placed under the limelight of "this whatever party made me waste every single hard-earned penny of Canadians to call an election"

I think I just abhor the Americanism of the Conservatives (their electoral campaign ALWAYS consist of why we shouldn't vote for Liberals, but they never realize that they should convince me to vote FOR them instead of NOT voting for Liberals, one of these days I'll just vote for some random party), and it didn't occur to me that Harper did anything particular impressive (except for his blackmailing technique).
