I don't think that has anything to do with Utorrent, probably you didn't adjust the settings correctly.
Emule is good, you just need good sites and know how to use it. Like BT, there are plenty of people whining and calling it slow/"worst thing ever". However, I personally think that Emule isn't the most user friendly p2p program.

i prefer direct download but for the rarer shows that are only on torrent, my choice is utorrent

UTorrent FTW--Direct download is good, but I hate how some sites don't offer resume capability especially when my router and ISP start to toy with the connection

DDL is only better then torrents when you have a premium account.

why do ppl use different ones depending on what they're getting wats the benefit?

why not use different ones? You suggesting that everyone should use the old useless Bittorrent client? There are a lot of options out there that you can choose from. All being better than the original client. Azureus has a lot of settings, which you can tweak to suit your preferences. Even better is utorrent, which has the same level of customization as Azureus, but takes up less memory.

i meant in terms of why do some ppl say that they use utorrent for music but bitcomet for movies or something.

Whatever works for you I guess. There are alot of different Isp's out there, some BT clients and more suitable for others.
