'The Lives of Others' I still have to see (I'll wait till the Germans broadcast it on tv) and The Last Witness.....shoot...I know they're showing this series on tv but I've never watched it...time for me to check it out then. (thanks for the tip!)
I want to see that series >.< But 1. they have yet to release the DVD (as far as I know) and 2. No subtitles!!!
A shortened version of the iron man comic con trailer has been released! So for those who missed out on the comic con trailer here you go Higher Quality http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/ Youtube quality
American Gangster! Crowe and Washington in the same movie! ITs going to be intense like HEAT Clovenfield or 1-18-08, I have no idea what this movie is about though... well, so does everyone else.
Trailer spam... I think I need to hit the nearest cinema, and quick, otherwise I won't be able to cauch up with this wave of awesome looking films >.< To be released 16/11: BEOWULF Angelina Jolie... -inlove My Blueberry Nights I will not forgive myself if I miss this in the cinemas... As per any other Wong Kar-Wai films -inlove 21/11: August Rush Jonathan Rhys Meyers... He's totally there just for the looks, but I expect great things from Freddie Highmore -^_^ It's the lamest story possible, but I would believe it will have a great soundtrack, at the very least -rolleyes 7/12: Golden Compass New trailer? I think I already waited a year too long >.< P.S., I Love You Gerard Butler as dead lover, enough said... 26/12: The Savages Laura Linney + Philip Seymore Hoffman... There's bound to be certain dark humour, not to mention chaos, which ensues... 28/12: The Orphanage Missed it during TIFF, heard really good things about this creepy fantasy (along the line of Pan's Labyrinth and Devil's Backbone...) Love the darkness, no pun intended. And oh, Guillermo del Toro, the director of Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth, "presented" this film, whatever that means... -rolleyes 29/2 (2008): The Other Boleyn Girl Now I am interested in this film, not solely because Natalie Portman plays a very manipulative Anne Boleyn... -devil
beowulf looks pretty exciting lol, and i thought blueberry nights already came out lol cause i heard opinions on it along time ago, but nonetheless want to see it cause i'm a wong kar wai film too, but no Christopher Doyle? no more glowing red and green colors lol...
I have a bad feeling for both August Rush and Beowulf. I'm afraid that Beowulf might try to be so massively epic, which will cause it to fail. I'm really not that interested in August Rush so I don't pay much attention to it. And I thought the Savages was already out :O lol. The rest of the films hiake mentioned I think can go either way. Not extremely looking forward to any of them. A couple of other notable movies Before the Devil Knows Your Dead - Released Yesterday I'm not There - New trailer This has been going for a while. Toy Story 3 is rumored (or confirmed? not sure) to be in production. I'm both happy and a little concerned about this. I love Toy Story (My favourite Pixar and Disney movie) so I'm happy that we might be getting a new film, but I really don't want this to bomb and ruin the series (which will be hard to do, considering Pixar's almost perfect record). But either way I'll be looking forward to this.
Blueberry nights WAS out, but I think it's getting a slightly wider limited release (is that an oxymoron there?) And I think, from the trailer, that even though it obviously isn't as lavish in color as Christopher Doyle's work, it's still very sensational and evocative -inlove I think Beowul is totally going to crash and burn... Not feeling a lot of plot there. But meh, Angelina Jolie semi-naked? Totally worth seeing already. As for August Rush, typical American drama, I am having good feelings about it because it's got great supporting characters (let's avoid talking about the questionable acting skills of the "dad and mom") I look forward to seeing I'm not there and The Savages (both were out during TIFF, but I missed them)... As for Toy Story 3... I didn't follow Toy Story beyond the first one, so kind of unsure about it -sweat
I wonder if Norah Jones is good though lol, cause this is her debut. And it's kinda weird seeing wong kar wai direction mostly english actors i guess. cause i've only seen his chinese work. Already saw angelina naked in Taking Lives and that movie sucked, but yea Beowulf can be goodor it can suck, unpredictable for me.
You should check out his short film in BMW's The Hire (starring Clive Owen), it was quite... womanly, for the lack of a better word.
Not Clive Owen, the film itself... Wong Kar-Wai is gifted in making the film very hmmmm, feminine and sensual... -sweat You should find those clip and see it, quite the star-studded lineup of directors including Tony Scott, Ang Lee, Guy Ritchie, John Woo and Wong Kar-Wai...
out of those directors, i have never seen a guy ritchie film lol, but now you making it weirder....film is sensual and feminine with clive owen haha...ok jp, anyways i'll try to see it later hehe...
And oh, hot Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima is in the Wong Kar-Wai segment, if that is any incentive to you Guy Ritchie is more of a MTV director than film director...
^definitely an incentive hehe, well my interest level rises but that doesn't change my laziness to find and watch it haha...and guy ritchie, isn't he an actor too lol...
Hmm.... I have American Gangster on my computer, but now I'm just deciding if I should go with my friends to watch it in the theater or watch it on my comp. :\
