Currently watching the game and the Thrashers goalie is horrible. He's given Toronto 3 turnovers, and 1 of them resulted in a goal. If the Leafs don't beat Atlanta, than that says a lot about how bad this team is.
sundin got tackled on the shootout :( but going to a shootout with atlanta is death!! their goals were so nice....we had chances to win in OT but didnt score. -_-
didnt the leafs face like 6 back up goalies? and they didnt even win that many against them? man leafs are shit. just like all the toronto teams. atleast rapts makin the playoffs. but isnt atlanta a good team? thought they did good last year but just has a slow start this year. i think i bring the leafs the bad luck. saw only 1 of their wins and like most of their losses
Damn the Pens aren't doing that good this season. I really hope they pick things up. BTW i have no idea why Crosby is captain. He's a awesome player, but I think the C should go to one of the vets.
when leafs blow a team out that means the other team didn't play well... pens weren't good at all tonight. i agree with crosby shouldn't be captain...by giving him the C its like a smack across the face of the other veterans on the team.. ie. recchi, roberts etc,.
i don't think it's a smack across to the face to veterans like recchi or roberts. As veterans they know the C does not mean much....those vets will still lead in the locker room, practice, etc. It's good for crosby to be recognized as the captain of the team. For one, he is the best player on the Pens (and arguably the league) and he leads by example. From what i've read/heard, he has a very good work ethic and he handles himself very well on/off the ice. And two, he's the face of the franchise, I really don't see how veterans would be insulted by that.
I agree with most of the stuff you said. I'm just trying to say that I wish the C had more meaning. Now a days its just given to the top player on the team, which Crosby is. Doesn't really matter that much to me though, as long as the Pens actually have vets for their young guys. Team without leadership won't do that well...

antropov will get injured make my words... i don't think he has played a season injury free... he's big but very fragile ...but if he does stay healthy he'll have a great season...he's doing good things on the ice right now. anybody notice Leafs lead the league in scoring? lol thats amazing with the players we got...not much top notch scorers...really.
You mean Antropov become MVP? Lol in your dreams Its not about the goal scorers, its about Toronto's improvements in the offensive zone. I've noticed that they've improved on their 5 on 5 play and their passing is MUCH better. The Defence pinch at right times, they get rebounds, and they apply pressure. But a good offensive doesn't really matter with the kind of defense the leafs have :\.
