My bro got a free Sandisk Sansa C140 from my sisters bf's uncle. Its 1 gb and has a really small screen. Viewing pictures on that thing is shit, no point having that feature on such a small screen. Its a bit fat, but it plays music fine and i guess tahts the main point of buying a mp3 player.
Agree^^ Touch Screen's are a fingerprint magnet.. So if you don't want to constantly wipe the screen every time you use it.. It's definetely a no-go

^i think it would hinder the sensitivity in some way. even though i'm not really an ipod fan, ipod touch is a good touch screen mp3 player though, too bad about the price lol.
I'm not ipod fan too, but if you prefer good design, ipod is best choice, slimmer than others, and cooler but why mp3 player ? go get the mp3 cellphone cheaper , consider with all the feature (SE maybe, no mean to crossposting hehehehe)
mp3 phone have been suggested... n i have thought abt it... but an mp3 player is just more convenient for me coz it's easier to get her head phones n i don't have to worry abt running out of battery when i need to make emergency calls... n to b honest i'm not too fond of the recent iPod design... they look the same only in a different shape...
i never liked ipod also... even when i saw the new ipod naon 4gb for sale for $99 in costco and i didnt buy $50 off lmao... and ipod touch design isnt that good... i prefer some other mp3 player designs instead of the touch.. lets just end this by stop talking about ipod since dawn dont want ipod k? either do mp3 phones.. i suggested mp3 phones (SE Walkman) a few days ago and she says the battery life is too short but its true lol
I just found out the Creative Zen 4gb went down $10, it is currently $120 on amazon, a week after I bought it for $130!
$10 difference.. wow... not a huge difference.. hmm... tell us when it goes down to $50? i'll go buy one and try creative then... lol

The Zen was released just recently.. In August, but stock only just started arriving this month. There are some reviews on the Internet of it, but most of them are innacurate and some even have the wrong facts stated. Well.. If you really can wait, wait for CES 2008, because there may be some big releases made by some DAP/Music Companies, which may see the prices of some DAP's go down
mainly zen prices might stay for the whole entire year.. most mp3 will until like a year later prices will start dropping.. zen released at august-september, sansa view released at october-november which is one of the most recently released mp3 player lol Edit: you can consider getting a Sandisk Sansa e200 series, (e250) 2gbs are around $35-$40USD now since it's a refurbished item. or you can get some black and white huge mp3 from creative for about $50-$70USD refurbish items.. (5-6gb Micro and 20-40gb zen touch) or you can go back to the old refurbished style microsoft zune which is only $100USD now lol
I would take the Sony. The samsung's ability to play videos and view photos is useless on that tiny screen. Also, the sony IMO looks so much better and cheaper!
