the CTS's are hot, unfortunately they are pretty low on the reliability ratings.

id kill for a CTS-V though, those cars are incredible

  3. lol when we were buying our cts, i wanted my dad to get the cts-v

and then he was like.... "OKK dream on kid"

lol i also wanted him to get the v grill and the v sign on the side -lol

its way too expensive in canada though.. 70 thousand dollars.. you can go south of the border and get one for 50 if you bargain.

fuuuck, i wonder if i should cancel the order on my car now...

the dollar is a 1.10, its huge, right now i could save 3 grand with the currency as it is by itself.

i would lose my thousand dollar deposit, but i would save like 6 grand in the end, i dunno what to do.

  7. ^ ask around, get some opinions!

  8. hey you american/canadian guys, i know most of ya'll are lazy when i comes to driving so heres my question... what is it like when driving an automatic, is it boring?, can u still get a fun drive out of the car or is it like a bus?, i saw a nice car but its auto an i dont want it if its gona bore me :(

y not... u save like 6k!! thats a lot of savings, considering how much the car is! u could like, get whole upgrade of stuff... cancel and do a re-order with same place =P

i've driven auto, i don't like it (cos of the car), but i'm sure wen u get some more powerful, sporty car, it'd be a whole different story. i guess it also depends where ur driving? if its just stuck in peak hour traffic, sometimes i prefer auto, cos u don't need to do anything. but wen u go for some cruises in twists etc, u can take it to the extremes too!! plus u could always add other stuff into the car to keep u occupied. theres always countless things u can do to the car to keep and make it fun!

  10. yaa ok thanks for answering that

driving auto depends on the power of the vehicle.

lots of new supercars have paddle shift automatics and those arent exactly boring drives.

in general however, standard transmission is significantly more engaging.

  12. ^yeah ok, the cars im talking about are the new model ford mondeo's, 2001 - 2002 , was looking at a 2.0 litre TDI, you can check them out on autotrader around the £2000 mark.

dont bother with a standard transmission in a mondeo. it wont make the experience any more exciting. those cars are just your basic cheap commuter vehicle and having a standard transmission will just be more work.

the only benefit of a standard for a car like that would be an additional 2-3 miles per gallon if you know how to drive economically.

  14. ^ im a bit of a noob when it comes to cars : -/, what do you mean by standard transmission, you mean the normal manual u get when u buy the car? im not sure... or are u saying get an auto over manual or vice versa?

  15. standard = stick

yep... manual will have better fuel consumption (pending how u drive)
if u keep it in the red zone, it sure may be more fun, but watch the fuel disappear! lol

at the end of the day, if u just need a car to get to and from work/station etc
it doesn't really matter what u get. just work hard and save up to get something u really want (like fearless). im still waiting for my car ><

  17. lol as much as i want a stick shift, from my uni back home, ill be restarting my car like a gazillion times lol

traffic is sooooooooo dense.. goes on for 60 km lol

u could always just leave ur left foot on the clutch hahahaah
not good for the clutch, nor will it move much...but hey... u don't have to restart =D

i used to have two integras with the act 6 puck clutch and no springs on the clutch and a extreme pressure plate to go with it. the clutch was sooooo heavy that i never wanted to drive it in traffic. i used to get a cramp just hanging on to the clutch. i got used to it though and also got a buff left leg. :)
