i disagree with that idea myself, but nowadays in business its the norm. even if you fully know the client is a dumbass and has a brain size rivaling the size of a pea, if you prove them wrong politely or not, things will happen: 1) they feel insulted by feeling inferior to the vendor. which leads to 2) losing a possible sale which leads to 3) that client telling other potential clients not to come to you to buy things. which leads to 4) you being fired or your company losing money. now, just think about what would happen if you applied the "client is always right" theory. 1) client doesnt realize hes wrong 2) by agreeing to the client's views (how ever wrong you may be) you make the client happy which leads to 3) potential partnership or sponsorship or generate more sales from that one client which leads to 4) client spreading good feedback from your party which leads to 5) attracting many more potential clients. hence 6) profit profit profit theres a reason why all the big and successful companies apply this theory, no matter how retarded the clients are. thats why theyre so damn rich. im not gonna tell you how to do your own job, but if you want to get a high payraise than what you got, do it like the big companies.
yeah...i know how it goes... i know its different in big companies... hence why im not the kinda person who should work in sales or support.... not the kind of person who walks with a fake grin on my face all day....nor do i like to kiss ass.... i cant take ppl who give me attitude for no reason...just cuz their customer and they think they can if their being polite and ask/tell me something nicely im cool... but if they cross the line and yell at me or are being impolite... ill say something about it ive dealt with some annoying and ignorant customers....sometimes i let em be.... my bosses always agreed to what i said and no...i never got fired....but these were small cases though....
lol went in my dad's company and saw this all the time.. some customers you just got to deal with them cuz theyre annoying.. but ive learned that based on the way a vendor speaks, they could change some of those clients.. not all, but some.. which is better than none lol

lol but retail is retail doesnt matter if its a booze store or not theres only one way of treating a customer, and its treating them with courtesy, informing them respectfully why it is not possible to process whatever. fine its the end of the long day, but dont be saying "yo youre pushing it theres one minute left and we're not gonna do it. come back some other time." you can say: "unfortunately, the bottle processing whatever is closed for the day and cannot be opened, im sorry. would it be alright for you to return tomorrow? " or something
