indeed it is, safety is key though personally eset and kapersky are very similar in their detection abilites and both should keep u safe.
It was meant as a joke and those graphs may have come from Virus Bulletin but then again they are on eset website aswell
AVG detects some .dll files and thinks it's a virus. For example, a9srchas.dll is a file from Ask.com and installed from your computer (sometimes automatically by IE or Firefox or manually) AVG thinks it's a virus so it won't let you open it. If AVG won't let you use a9srchas.dll, that means, you can't open My Computer, My Document, everything that's from C:// you can only open installed files like FireFox,IE,Photoshop and etc. If you want to remove a9srchas.dll well you can't because you can't open My Computer. So it's a very tricky steps to delete a9srchas.dll and make your computer work again. This is just one of the .dll files that AVG think it's a virus. There are more.
Again, all based on personal experience for each individual user. not a good idea to run two avs at the same time. conflicting results. this is one hilarious statement..hahah..right on
i have only used symantec and the new version sucks, can't block certain pop ups and shit...anyways i think everybody would have a different experience with each anti-virus programs. it depends on what the user preferences are...
hahah so true a computer programmer isn't a software programmer, they're totally different software programmers know much more than a computer one, since they're hte ones who actually write them! not the computer ones plus its not like u even get the code for any of these commercial software... seriously, if u know wat ur doing, play it safe u won't even need an AV and u'll be fine i've survived for long enuff without using AV, i've got eset on my desktop at home, but its not even scheduled to do scans only reason using it cos got given serial number =) obviously some ppl visit those pr0n sites a lil too often... hahaha
Computer Programmers are the ones who makes softwares, we write Computer Softwares, time for Computer 101. It's Computer Programmers because we create softwares for the computer. All Computer Programmers creates softwares, The term computer programmer can refer to a specialist in one area of computer programming or to a generalist who writes code for many kinds of software. We are also called programmer analyst, software engineer, computer scientist, or software analyst. Other names that refers to a Computer Programmer: database programmers, mainframe programmers, web developers, application programmers and systems programmers. No such thing as Software Programmers because what I said, all Programmers creates Softwares. EDIT: Let's say, Computer Programmers and Software Programmers are one.
man if u wanna get technical about all this, u know u'd be wrong just bcos ur a "programmer" doesn't mean u create software most of the "programming" done is all analysis work, does a report = a software?? hell no... keep in mind, scientist and engineers are called differently for a reason (even if they both work in the same field so to speak). generalising, "science" creates all the theories and hypotheses and in "theory" they all work, but as we all know, practicality issues and so forth mean they don't, "engineers" get stuff to work go back to your computer 101, cos no idea where u went, and wat u learnt if u wanna get sooo general abt web developers, or database systems, or "computers",. then any1 who uses that can be "so called" that, but are they really? its just like saying some data entry dude is a programmer... pffttt at the end of the day, all the AV marketing is done by some marketing guy to say how superior its software is.. plus wats the point of sending me a PM just to say that u replied?
EDIT: It's up to that Computer Programmer if he wants to create a software. Freshmen Computer Programmers are taught to how to use C++, Sophomores are taught how to write a software. Juniors are taught what types of software they can make. Upon graduating Computer Programming, each student must submit a software/program to graduate. If you remember ILOVEYOU virus is was created by the software that the AMA Computer College Computer Programming student created, the school turned down his project because it's illegal. Instead he made it as .VBScript to spread it, he didn't know it was dangerous. Like I said, Computer Programmers writes softwares, we write softwares so that's compatible with computers, some are Computer Programmers commonly use C++ to create softwares, some Computer Programmers use their software knowledge to create different programs, such Games, Emulators, Anti Virus. C++ is used by programmers to create all of them, mostly.
most likely ur a "computer programmer" trying to say ur the best blah blah, better than "software programmer" blah blah so if ur definition of a computer programmer does everything so wat does the rest of the world do?? so what course did you actually study? keep in mind, if you go around the world, the general accepted courses are 1) computer engineering 2) software engineering 3) computer science and we all know that they all do some sort of "programming" to learn but obviously they're all different plus writing some code to do a something doesn't constitute to say its a "software" theres a heaps of ppl here on pa that deal with computing, and i'm sure they all know more than u do
Just get this right. Software Programmers and Computer Programmers are the same, the only difference is synonyms. 1) Computer Engineering = working with hardware (edit) they are not called Computer Programmers because programmers works on softwares, they are called Engineers, they work on parts of the computers such as CPU, they know every detail what's inside it) 2) Software Engineering = there's no programs like Software Engineering(edit: in college), it's considered as classes in or Computer Science. Maybe in other countries such as UK have Software Engineering 3) Computer Science = is what I took. Lastly, Every Computer Science Freshman to Seniors, on the way, we create mini-softwares and show it just in class.
they are not the same.. they work in totally different applications and are totally different. and u've gone thru comp sci, u should know don't know where ur from but soft eng as a "course/program" at university/colleges is available in the UK, US, Aust, Asia and if u wanna keep discussing how the "same" they are, u should start it somewhere else than keep on hijacking this thread
OMG. Software Programmers (Software Developers) are the same with Computer Programmers. SOFTWARE is a SOFTWARE. Software Engineers are different from Computer Programmers. I study at University of Texas in Austin. My professor is Dr. Bjarne Stroustrup. If you don't know who he is, do your homework.
Kaspersky Internet Security and AV. The best I've used. Its just hard to find a license key these days, unless you want to buy it ofcourse. They're interrelated, you can't seriously attempt to say its totally different. EDIT: Can a mod please merge this?
