Nope, I never noticed... @@ ... is it new ? -__-lol CTC ... I meant the inside... is so dead.... =_= It's about I'd say 40-ish minutes? ... In the summer it was... Um... or just subway.... it'll take like 2 minutes...........
haha perosnally, i never liked mongolian wok. too expensive, not much food to choose from..and yea...better off going to..soe ther buffet. like maybe sushi buffet. lol
Okay, best sights at the moment is probably ROM, just because I am obsessed by the new (and expensive) new wing... AGO is still closed, so it sucks beyond any beliefs, you can walk around Queen Street for some street sights; lakeshore always has nice view (but that's just me)... Can't think of sight-seeing spots for winter... I am usually a summer person Best dinner at Canoe (TD Tower, expensive, Canadian cuisine), Terroni (various locations, best location is Queen West, inexpensive, Italian), Batifole (near Gerrard China Town, moderate, French)... Best cheap eats: Peter Pan (Peter and Queen, inexpensive, bistro), Sandwich Box (238 Queen Street West, bistro/cafe), Terroni (again)... Best street for Western food is probably Bayview and Eglinton area, tons of great cafes including Rahier and La Cicogne. Best Shanghai is either Snow Garden on Yonge near Clark (Richmond Hill), or Ah Lai near First Markham Place (Ting Tai Fung at First Markham Place is overrated and expensive) Best fast-food style Chinese is Kenny's noodle at Midland and Sheppred Best foodcourt is First Markham Place, hands down, because that Singapore/Thai/Malay booth in the corner is AWESOME, and you can get freshly squeezed sugar cane juice at 168 Best Japanese is a tie between Tsukiji (Markham Road north of HWY 7) and Hokkaiya (Bamburgh Circle, near Warden and Steels, Sushi/Sashimi only) and oh, NEITHER is all you can eat. Best Korean is K-Town near Christie station And you MUST go have a look-see at T&T, it's quite an eye-opener if your town doesn't have franchised Chinese supermarket
I didn't say one should actually BUY anything there... But it's worth a go-see... Quite a sight for people who come from towns without a super-substantial Chinese population.
Well... hey I'd rather do my Chinese grocery shopping in a store that is clean, inviting, and sells good, reliable products The Chinese supermarkets in my city are dirty, small, offer no selection, and sell EXPIRED products.... they purposely scratch out expiry dates or cover them....
oh geez, u make it sound like i dig thru garbage for my food. i buy the same food pretty much every week and since it's only just me, i only spend about 10-15 dollars a week. but this one time, i went to t&t and bought the same amount of food and it came to 23 dollars! and also, the food i buy doesn't have mold growing on it. i am pretty sure the apple i bought from the usual grocery place had the same taste as the one i got from t&t. if ur talking about expiry dates on stuff like chips or something, then i wouldnt really know since i don't eat that stuff.
, I didn't mean it that way. That's because you obviously haven't been to the ShitPeg and enjoy quality Chinese products and produce at our AMAZING Chinese supermarkets (like three in total). I'm just saying, if there was the options of numerous Chinese supermarkets, then T&T would be one of the more preferable ones for me. In other words, if my city also had a T&T plus all the other Chinese supermarkets that already exist, then I would go to T&T for sure. I'm talking about stuff "more Chinese-y" .. stuff you wouldn't find at your regular White supermarket...like Tofu, Asian Canned products, Fish, sauces, etc. ---> and yes, I have found expired products, because they covered it with tape or scratched it off.. Obviously chips is not pertinent to a Chinese supermarket @_@
^well, i guess i'm luckier than u. i live in toronto so there are plenty of grocery stores besides t&t. i buy tofu every week and i've never had an issue. arent prawn chips considered chips?
