Hi all, Im a huge fan of Martial Arts movies. It dont matter where they come from or what language they are in, but i love them to bits. It feels like such a long time since i last saw a really good Martial Arts movie though. The last good one ive seen was the Korean "City Of Violence" which was superb. Brilliant fight scenes although some were a bit too over the top (but still it didnt make me want to turn my head away). My all time favourite Martial Arts movie has got to be Prodigal Son. AWESOME!!!!!! It came on TV one time but i forgot the name of name of the movie, then years later i met Master_G and he borrowed it to me. Brought back some good memories. Just pure awesome Martial Arts action throughout. I highly recommend it to anyone. Just wanted to know what ppl thought was their best ever Martial Arts movie. And if they would recommend any nice ones 4 me. I like movies like City Of Violence, Drunken Master, Thunderbolt, Police Story I & II, HERO, Thai Chi Master and so on.... Thanks Master Jin -coolio
Why is this in the non asian? It should probably be in Chinese since most of the best martial arts movies are... well from China. Anyways, man there are so many. I could go on and on. Kung fu Hustle was alright, not so much martial arts though. The story I loved and everything, but if you're to watch a movie with Martial Arts, Spooky Encounters 36 Chambers (woooord) Magnificent Butcher Warriors 2 Drunken Master (fuck yes!) Snake in eagles shadow the list goes on. Old school martial arts films are the best.
Yeah i agree that Kung Fu Hustle was good but it was more special effects than Martial Arts if u know what i mean. Heard 36 Chambers was supposed to be sick. Cant find it anywhere though. Drunken Master is just too sick though. Old school is the best.

For Martial Arts movies, I have to go with Hero or Once Upon a Time in China Part II. Can't go wrong with a fight between Jet Li and Donnie Yen. Real stuff here instead of the fake wires and floating around.
there is many "Martial Arts Movie" ,, i have already watched from old or new school. the best martial arts movies are from China. let is see some of them Drunken Master 2 --- jackie chan Drunken Thai Chi Master --- donnie yen Thai Chi Master ---- jet li Thai Chi Master 2 ---- jacky wu fearless ---- jet li Once Upon a Time in China Part II -- jet li + donnie yen fist of fury --- jet li fists of fury ( tv show ) --- donnie yen kung fu master (tv show) --- donnie yen but the most good will be from jet li ,, he is the master of all in "Martial Arts Movie"...
lol. that movie is crazy man. You cant beat Prodical Son with fight scenes. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. -inlove I did watch Once Upon A Time In Chine but didnt think it was wowee. Ive got the trilogy but still aint watched it yet. Not much of a Jet Li fan. His films are too serious. His best film is HERO by far!!! I like old skool actors like Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan (not his recent crappy movies). Movies that have a bit of the fun side added to them.
Once Upon a Time in China (Jet Li) Fist of Legend (Jet Li) Fearless (Jet Li) Ong-Bak (Tony Jaa) I think a good martial arts film is good when there is less special effects and wire works.
