isnt 360 sale going down while ps3 sales are going up? only reason why ps3 sales are going up b/c the prices on it keeps on dropping.. i paid $500 for the 60gb.. now its like $500 for 80gb.. lol and $400 for 40gb.. but still.. wii ownz all of those console lolz wii.. you cant even find it in stores still.. i've been looking for it to see which store still have some even though i have 1 already.. im not gonna buy it.. just going through stores to see which console was still the best selling.. which is wii still lol... and screw WoW!!!!!! Edit:Got some news that Wii will be back in stock on December 16 in US. It will be available in some markets as in Target, Circuit City, K-mart, Walmart, Sam's Club, Bestbuy, and etc.
Lol the Wii. Its just on a whole another level. and about 360 sales. I wouldn't be surprised since most people who want a 360 already have one. A lot of potential PS3 owners are still waiting on the anticipated titles to come out.
Yeh, but what i real stupid is the bundles comming out for the xbox 360.. anyone see that one for the arcade xbox 360 with a zune.. microsoft must really be desperate to sell their 3 rings of death!
When it's console, it's war -devil Then a Wii fangirl Whee!!! I don't know, PS3 took an entire year (not to mention price drops) just to improve the sales... And to compare the monthly sales now is just silly, like 360, people who are REALLY into Nintendo/Wii already got one, of course the sale will ease... If PS3 doesn't exhibit some serious growth in sale, it will lose more than a limb and some ground in terms of game developments...
Nintendo appeals to everyone lol Sony still has a lot of their big exclusives, i think they'll be fine till the next generation.
I am sure PS3 and 360 fans will beg to differ I kind of think it will be another few years before a new generation of console is out... There's no point in developing a new console for Nintendo (yet) since they are VERY far away from exhausting the functionalities and possibilities with Wii. Not sure about 360 but I guess Microsoft is too busy with Vista at the moment But Sony... It already lost the format battle (I read somewhere that HD is going to be the next "standard" format, not BluRay, but still speculations you know). They would need some very seriously great games to save them from the disadvantage... Not to mention the PS3 is still the most expensive console, isn't it?
Hm.. If they come out a bundle for ps3 with GT5. I might plan to get it. Its just too expensive right now for just the console.
Each generation of consoles usally lasts around 5-10 years. Above 8 years if we're lucky. I think PS3 can at least hold out that long. They still have a lot of their major titles. As for Nintendo, every company always has something new for each gen, but I really don't know what Nintendo will do after the Wii lol. And I believe the format wars are still in effect. Its still a really close race, if you want to call it that.
I wonder the same thing about Nintendo, Wii and NDS already exceeded my limited imagination of how far gaming can go... I think PS3 will pick up slowly in terms of sales and popularity. But in the long run, it has to have a lot of stamina and good titles to actually turn the tide with 360 and Wii. As for the format war, I think many distributors already made the choice of HD over BluRay, so at the moment HD got a sliver of a lead. But who knows, if PS3 can pick up in sales and change the tide in the console war, BluRay can definitely benefit from it... But from the relative prices of HD vs. BluRay (at the moment), I would say HD is having a head start with the price drop, making it slightly more affordable than BluRay.
Ya HD has a slight edge on Blue-ray, and when a 360 with an internal HD DVD player(I think everyone knows its just a matter of time even though nothing was announced) releases it will be another harsh blow for Sony. And the DS.... Its like everyone now a days has a DS. A good sign for Nintendo, cause if they ever fail in the console department they will ALWAYS have their handheld consoles to keep them alive. But I wonder what they'll do for their new handheld. I think I read something about them disbanding the Gameboy label a while back.
i wish they make those what do u call them again?? u put on goggles and ur actually in the game but without the pain and stuff. u know what i mean?? lolz but that'll be in like say a million years time?? haha i've been watching too many movies ><"
but the internal hddvd player is kinda useless cause xbox360 don't even use hddvd for their games anyways. And don't forget blue-ray is still double the space of hddvd's and in the future, technology might be able to take advantage of that. But at the current rate ps3 is definitely falling behind cause of their lack of great exclusive titles, every title they release now is on every other console that's whats holding them back. And Wii is just always gonna be unique cause every game plays differently on that console anyways. But I think the addition of Dual Shock 3 and exclusive titles that are only possible with blueray can level the ps3 with xbox, but so far no one took advantage of the blue ray format...
i'm waiting on GTA4, FF13 and Metal Gear Solid 4... but even then i don't think i would want to spend that much money on a console just for a few games lol maybe i'll make someone buy one and go over and play hahaha
Not surprise considering a lot of good games like Metal gear solid and Grand Turismo coming soon. Plus you can play xvid + divx files now
I was playing Darkness on my friends ps3. Its so nice. Yeah, i can't wait for GT5. The screenies loook so nice.
Of Course the graphic will improves since the disc can store more data into it. I really hope they will make better games for PS3, right now it just isnt worth buying.
Many good games for PS3 already. Uncharted, Unreal Tournament 3, Ratchet & Clank, and Heavenly Sword are all great games that are only on the PS3.
Unreal Tournament was made available for PC before it was released for the PS3. And it will be released for the 360 in 2008. But I guess that's still a good thing for PS3 users. At least they get to get their hands on it before 360 owners.
Wii is surviving because it is the only console that allow the players to move and exercise while playing the game. I'm waiting for the PS3 price to drop then I go buy it.
