The ending was very predictable lol. When i found out he was trying to find a cure I automatically went to the conclusion to that ending.

and about the immunity. There are 2 ways the virus can infect someone. Through air and contact. Dogs are immune to the airborne virus, but their immune system can not stop the virus if it is transfered through contact. So I believe there are 2 strains of the virus, each with almost no difference at all. Only difference in how they infect other things around them. Will Smith's character is immune to both of them, so that's why he can't be infected. That's what I got from the movie at least....

That's what I thought... Although I must say I am surprised that he is not anymore careful with wounds and stuff...

The ending is predictable? I was divided with 2 possible endings when I didn't see that new twist with "last man on earth" idea :p I thought it was kind of depressing, his attitude towards this outbreak thing...

I am curious at the end (spoiler): "How are the people going to "use" that vaccine thing, and really, I think it already turned bad during the drive to Vermont" But I guess I am the only one who is so anal about technicalities :p

Lol. I honestly don't care about what they do with it lol.

But it would defeat the point of the film if it just all goes in vain...

    More spoiler rant:
And that trap thing is WAY TOO intricate if you tell me it's made by zombies who no longer have their intellects... They have packs, leaders, and strategies... It's just a new race of "humans" :p And that zombies keeping zombie dogs as "pets"? Retarded idea...

  5. khaotic

    khaotic Fobulous

Lol [Highlight]--> Well they don't keep them as pets, its just they're all together cause they're all zombies.

Bah hiake stop be so technical :p

  6. hiake

It's not my fault that they try to go with the "we are so totally make sense" route... I never quite complained about Resident Evil or other zombie flick if it showed that "we just heart making a zombie film with lots of gore"... Different expectations, is all :p

  7. khaotic

    khaotic Fobulous

    Lol. Change your expectations. :p

But if you want to talk technical about movies. Let's talk Star Wars. How is it that the force of gravity is applied to a ship in space when it is at a CONSIDERABLY distance away from the planet -shock

  8. hiake

    hiake Vardøgr of da E.Twin

Haven't you heard of artificial gravity? Tsk tsk, which era are you from? :D

I don't mean to poke holes... but that trap thing is just sticking out like a sore thumb to be nailed...

  9. khaotic

    khaotic Fobulous

I don't mean on the ship. I mean the planet's gravity is being applied to the ship at a sudden rapid acceleration from a far distance. :p

    Bah Who cares :p

  10. hiake

    hiake Vardøgr of da E.Twin

Well... I am sure light sabers make a lot of sense... :p But then me =/= fan of Star Wars, so don't know the details...

  11. khaotic

    khaotic Fobulous

There are parts in the Lightsaber that just exist, no explanation as in how. Just that they do and create the lightsaber. Lol

If you keep watching movies while thinking about technicalities then you'll never have any fun :(

  12. hiake

I guess so... But some films have their boring moments which let my mind wander and be picky :p Unsuccessful long sequences are such typical pit-falls...

  13. khaotic

    khaotic Fobulous

I can see where your mind would wonder in I Am Legend. Some scenes just dragged on and felt like a waste of time.

I can understand how they want to maximize their "desolate NYC" sequences... but one of them, where Robert is in the middle of the road while the camera moves further and further away from him... It was painfully long and boring and OVERKILL.

    And no offense (spoiler):

"I have a wee bit of trouble hearing Maria talk... She is somewhat accented..."

    and

"the penultimate lab sequence of "hit the reinforced glass" was stupid, LONG and ineffective in creating the urgency and mood"

Not to mention [highlight]---->The scene when the dog entered the dark room. I was hoping for some nice action sequences to take place, but it just kept dragging on until it reached the point where I just wanted him to get the damn dog and leave as fast as he could. <------

  16. anyways, while you two go ahead and have a lovely little chit chat about spoilers for I am legend, im going to stay true to the topic by saying i have just finished a marathon of SGA season 4.

its actually not half bad! cant wait for next season next year... seems soo far away, yet its just a few weeks away lol

    Total spoiler talk:

"I totally agree with that particular sequence... And then some... I mean, I am surprised that he can outrun those zombie things... Not to mention Sam the dog came out unharmed..."

    and

"I think I just totally hated the trap the zombies set up for him... I mean, it is VERY intricate, and from what I saw, those zombies are not exactly what one would call "good with hands"... And lastly, WHERE THE HELL DID THEY GOT THE MATERIAL? Bullets, those super-thick strung wire thing, the trap trigger? I applaud for their intelligence in recycling... But then it's just kind of silly to think that the zombie would only send the zombie dogs after him but not devour him when the sun's down... And how did he made it back home without being followed?"

    and lastly:

"That Maria must be a very resourceful person... I don't think I know anyone who knows how to change the headlight save the ones in the garage industry... And her headlights are ultraviolet (to kill the zombies when Robert was suicidal)"

These teeny tiny things add up to reduce the overall impression of the film SUBSTANTIALLY... Thus I wouldn't say it's such an awesome film...

    khaotic Fobulous

Lol you're starting to talk technical again. But I agree. The movie is no where close to being in the "awesome" category. More like the "Just enjoyable" catagory :\.

  19. lol get a thread.

    (variance of "get a room")

    lol jsk

Plot holes can be the death of any potentially great films... As beautifully demostrated by I am Legend...

I liked the score though. And the breakdown scenes... Those were the awesomest (I coined the word just now :p) scenes in the entire film...

@dann, I am sure the zombies would appreciate your flesh for their dinner... -devil If I ever get around to write a review...
