I don't know about PSP... I just ASSUMED that PSP got some awesome wifi since nearly every single PSP owner is bragging about "oh my PSP can go online!" If the two wifi is comparably slow... Then DS prevails
tbh both the psp and ds can go online just as well as each other. there is no better i don't think. but anyway back to the question, i think getting a ds at the mo should be fine. don't rele see something new coming out, the current one has a much better design and is much more asthetically pleasing than the previous one, so much so that i don't think a new design is needed. also, don't reckon that another handheld will be released for another while yet so ye, getting ds at the mo isn't a bad idea.
I have had this issue of not wanting to buy a DS in fear that a new Nintendo handheld system will be released, for a while now. I'm thinking about just waiting until the new handheld system comes out and then buy it.
Yeah, that way, I KNOW FOR SURE that I'm gonna get it, since I'm not in a rush to get a handheld system anyway.

if u care about graphics then i would go with the psp. if you like gameplay more then go with the ds. i would perfer the ds because the ds has the touchscreen which i think makes games alot more fun than just pressing buttons. the only complain i have for the ds is, is that i dont really think there are as many good games compared to the psp. i would still recommend the ds because it is really fun to play. the psp has pretty good games but the ds is just as fun with the touch screen and their selection of interactive games.
if you do plan on getting the DS.. and want to eventually get the R4. I'd recommend that you get it asap. sooner or later the r4's will be hard to get.
No its not like iPod. With the Nano, you get great sound quality with a sleek thin design, and an overall good product. With the PSP you get crappy speakers, decent to above average games, with the rare awesome games. >.<
Well if you can wait a couple of days until CES starts, maybe Nintendo may release a new DS. Chances are really slim that it will happen, but you never know.
CES? what is that? Anyway, I have a psp and somehow there isnt any good game to play. I bet the same goes for NDS. save your money to get a PS3.

Ya. If you'll really into the media functions of the PSP, then just get a diff media player. :\ PS3 is a console, The DS and PSP are handhelds. How the hell are you suppose to compare them.
