Well wen sum1 wants to commit suicide - the person believes that life has no purpose obviously or that they r suffering too much that they cant stand living. But ill give an example - say u were a survivor of the civil war in guatemala that lasted for like 30 years. If u were a woman and u were from the other side, ure enemy wud rape u then kill u, if u were a child or man they wud kill u and burn u. In the end every corpse was thrown in a massive grave unmarked, unrecognised. Say if u were a war victim and ure family all gone, dead. U are the onli survivor in ure family, no relatives, little money, little food - wats ure purpose in life? why shud u live suffering? I think it is normal for sum1 in a scenario like this to take their own life becos it is just so hard to see wat is there to live for.

I think that some people that commit suicide feel as though they are under a lot of pressure (whether education, or job). Some people cannot handle the pressure and decide to end their life. I don't think people should kill themselves though; but at the same time I can't judge them because its their life, not mine.

i dont understand the people who commit suicide... i think its soooooo bad... because as mentioned already... there are so many people in the world who want to live and are struggling to survive and stay in this world because of illness's or because of accidents etc... its sooo annoying that people who find themselves financially incapable or if they have problems that they cant deal with try to commit suicide or actually die from committing suicide... its so unfair!

It's also unfair that you get to stay at your computer going on the internet without a care in the world, while others struggle to even support themselves financially.

Interesting topic to come across. Well, I saw that someone went through the stage of thinking of it. Well I"m a person that attempted it, and I knew a friend that actually committed suicide. I don't think it's a sin, but I think it can be justified to some extent.

As for me, I had a very difficult time going through what I did. I had lots of problems and my strength was no longer there. It's the moment the person has an absolute feeling of pain. That's what I felt. As for my problems, I couldn't share them, because it was the feeling of being ashamed and it's what hurts a lot too that you can't seem to share them that you're alone. Obviously that's untrue, but it's a mental thing. To be honest, I haven't shared what I've gone through with anyone, including my family, except my gf.

IMO, I never liked news putting coverage on someone that committed suicide. Cause I think it really further makes someone feeling weak, weaker by making it seem like you'll be on the news if you commit suicide and people will know your name, though for the wrong reason, you'll still be know as..blah blah

I do agree that suicide is a coward's way out of things, but for me, I seem to sympathize with people that do it cause I kinda know how they've felt

i think this is a difficult question to answer. People have their own reasons to attempt/commit suicide. I mean, there are reasons out there which we'll sympathize the person, but there are ridiculous reasons which will shock everyone. For example, I've hear/read enuff news regarding to teenagers committing suicide in hong kong. From what I remember, there are quite a few teenagers out there who committed suicide because they couldn't pass a certain level in a computer game. I mean, what kind of stupid reason is that to commit suicide?! I guess some of you might find this a valid reason to commit suicide. Long story short, basically I guess we're not qualified to judge whether or not committing suicide is a sin, since we all have diff. values/views on it. I believe that only God will have the right to judge. To him, probably committing suicide is not a 1+1=2 formula, its much more complicated than that.

io think everyone has contemplated suicide before, but this stage passes by extremely quickly for average people. However, personally, the only time i wold choose suicide. is if A) i was paralyzed from the neck down B) i went blind C) I know that i will die a painful death soon so i might as well go out in an easier fashion
