i think that faan tai shuy thing ur talking about relates to ur actual age. i think it's when ur age is an odd number is when u gotta be careful. i remember my mom telling me when my age was 21 on the chinese calendar.
but maybe there is some truth to the year being your animal. from personal experience, the year of the pig (my animal) has got to go down as the worst year of my life. sooo happy it's going away in a week.
