It effects us more than you think. Our fate is partly determined by how the United States move forward. One of the things that sucks about Canada, but still rather live here. @the election. Seems like a democrat will most likely win, but I don't live in the States so I can't say that for sure.
I wouldnt worry too much about that. Even though in the past, Canada was relying on US for economy, but this trend is slowly shifting away from it. Besides, does it really matter who is elected? Honestly, all politicians that came and went always promised good things but never even accomplished a small fraction of what they said.
I don't expect politicians to keep every single one of their promises. I judge upon their platform and predict what would happen if they ever to gain power. But you are right. Empty promises are required to be a politician.
man.. at this point its all mccain's game in the rep side.. as for dems, i want obama to win. im sick of clinton pulling all her crying stunts and people so dumb they were moved by her crying, and start voting for her just because they felt bad for her. who the hell votes on people who cry because they lost.. thats not even the def of a leader.. obama for the win. and yes im canadian.
ah i see, all Canadians XDD it's a tight race so far 4 Clinton and Obama, only 20 something votes away. Whoa-a....... call me a jerk but i support Clinton, and i know she's not going to win.
You're not a jerk. Elections exist for the citizens to have some type of input into their own government. You have the right to choose any candidate that you wish. Have some confidence though. It's not over yet.
lol, like other "minorities" i kinda want obama to win, but otherwise don't really care too much about it, didn't vote.
Well..i kinda care and i kinda don't i'm not into politics and i don't care if i vote...but i know it is important to...its just i'm too lazy
hehe nah Canada will always rely on USA, they are the super power and the backbone of Canadian economoy.
There's a saying. If you didn't vote, you can't criticize the government. So better off voting and at least attempt to put your country in the path you desire, otherwise the credibility of your complaints are next to nothing.
That's why Canada sucks so much, learning from a bad model... Everything is BROKEN, corruption, bribery, wasted resources etc etc. More than 7 deadly sins there. As for the election, I hope Obama wins because Clinton is going to be returning a lot of favours when she's in power = useless in reforming nothing.
