:jump: Been craving for them ever since I came back from HK. Any have this recipe in cups or teaspoon?
I've never had them before?! Or seen them...:S are they from ' guy been dong' ? ahaha excuse my shizzy pinyin
Slee Yup, it can be bought by the street vendors ih Hong kong. Waffle like but shape like a ball. No sauce needed just eat it while it is warm............. Can't find it here from where I'm at. Found some recipe but just need to convert it.
i need to get some too. i don' t think i have ever had them. how do they look like. any pics to see i have had it before or not.
OHHHH u can get some of that in london now! proper HK style where they out in the street making it to sell. lol. swing by london, go to china town and go by the middle of china town, you will guarentee see it! lol, they opened a little stall outside the cake shop lol, which is a supey yummy cake shop lol x
lol , the snacks are kinda stupid in HK tho i mean like $10 for a packet of chips and a rice dish is like $20, im pretty sure most ppl would go for the rice, anyway 魚蛋 is better in HK ^^ tho udont see those carts very often
If anyone happen to be in HK, you have to try the ones in Tsim Sha Tsui, it is always packed with people lining up.
lol food in HK taste a lot better than food here, lol i mean whod wanna eat fast food in HK when u can choose from like 100 kinds of rice and noodles and etc
I never hav try it because my ma say is dirrty on the street :( maybee next time when I go back to HK .I try it
ur moms right lol =D but u'd have to take in account our (human) stomach is filled wit acid that will kill the germys! for the food like these!!!! and lol i havent had them in ages...but ive had the nuts (chestnuts?) not long ago, as the ones that they burn in a lil cart and the smoke goes everywher and etc etc
It's much better now for these kind of food as many of them are opened inside the shopping centres so it will not be "dirty" or unclean.
OMG! I've been wanting to have some since I came back from HK too. I saw some in TO's chinatown, but was like 3 or 4$. Too overpriced compared to HK (even if it meant that i would be having some :/), where it would be about 1$CAN or 8$HK. Doubt you can do it right.... need that gai dan zai maker thing and the right technique. But it was soo good, I would almost get one every other day while I was there. XD Crunchy on the outside, but so warm and moist on the inside. haha sooo good @__@
You nailed it on the spot it is way too pricey if they have it overseas and I can not find a place that sells that type of maker. But like you said it is sooo good Crunchy on the out side and warm on the inside.
