Tuesday March 11, 2008 Hong Kong Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Kathy Chow (周海媚), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Sammul Chan (陳鍵鋒) and Elanne Kong (江若琳) were among those present at the costume fitting for TVB’s third instalment of The Academy <學警雄心> series today at TVB City. The temporary title for the 30-episode installment is Academy Full Throttle <學警狙擊>. It has been ten years since Kathy filmed her last series, Secret of the Heart <天地豪情>, for TVB until this installment. She laughed that she is one of the old age newcomers. Kathy revealed that the reason she decided to come back and film for TVB once more was because the script and character was highly captivating, but most importantly, it was because she could act as a couple with Michael in the series. Michael portrays a mob boss in the third installment, and when reporters told him about Kathy’s main reason to film the series was so that she could pair up with him, he thanked her graciously. It was then pointed out that many female artistes wanted to film with him. Michael joked that it was because he was a total pushover. He did not know if he and Kathy will be filming any intimate scenes, but he felt that kissing scenes are not out of the norm. He added that if the script called for it, then they will certainly do so, but if the script does not require it and they just film those scenes for the audience, then it would not seem sensible. Having always portrayed the hero character, Michael does find challenge in portraying a villainous mob boss. He has also dyed the front end of his hair white to add to the triad aura. This is Elanne’s first series and she will be pairing up with Ron. Both expressed that they are not worried about rumours circulating around them, and will only be focusing on their work. When asked if they will be sharing intimate moments in the series, they both replied that they were not sure. Elanne felt that being an actor and singer are quite different, because as an actor, you are limited in the decisions that can be made during the filming process, so if the script requires an actor to perform a certain scene, they are expected to do so. Sammul has just returned from a vacation in Thailand, Sabah and Japan, and has immediately immersed himself back into work. He revealed that whilst he was in Sabah, he was able to attain his scuba diving license. credits: batgwa.
hmm, havnt seen any of this series, thinking about catching up with it, but im not really a ron fan, he bugs me in all the series his in. So can any1 tell me if its worth watching the 1st 2?!
IF u dun think the 3 of the Police Academy as sequels...then its worth watching Chibi12. The story is okay to keep u entertained For the 3rd part,I reli wonder how TVB gonna bring Michael Miu alive again...hmmm
i never liked kathy! she always plays the role of a weak female and her voice is whinny. hope she's grown out of that!
but...didn't michael die in the first one? or is this one not at all connected to the first two?..... i'll watch it. kathy's comeback! plus, ron is in it. the boy can't act but sooooooo damn cute...
whoa chow hoi mei is back....lol what's with all these comebacks nowadays, perhaps they getting poor now. i find sammul chan pretty annoying in series though don't like the guy and yea ron ng can't act haha...
he's always annoying. every freaking series he's an annoying little brat. remember survivor's law 1? wanted to beat him. i dunno why tvb continually lets him make shows. ugh...such a sissy looking guy...
