I think Yao being injured might, and I say might, be a good thing for the Rockets during the stretch. They can go small with McGrady, Alston, Landry, Scola, and Battier. I think going small is better for Adelman's offense (e.g. Kings 00-05). If they need a stopper in the middle, they can take one of Landry, Scola, or Battier and subs in Mutombo and he doesn't need the ball to thrive.

I think Houston will have their winning streak snapped by the Lakers.

we should start a pool... haha as buff as the Lakers are, the Rockets are deeper if they play like the've played since jan... Old man Mutumbo can and probably will swat away Gasol... and the rotation of the front court is pretty amazing... Landry didn't even play last night and Hayes stepped it up quite a bit...Battier could probably keep Odom in check... only variable remaining is Kobe... and that's always a big number to count in... Alston's been playing better than at any point as a Rocket... Luther Head's looking good so that should counter the Laker's up and coming guards...

in anycase... it should be a great game as long as the Rockets can stay undefeated till they reach the Lakers of course...

i'm just surprise they're match up wit the spurs even wit one of the stars gone. I'm also surprise because i really dont see any potential in the rockets for the exception of the 2 stars and they're still beating ass. i meant, the rockets roster didnt change much, except the rookies.

Yeah, that sorta bothered me too, I mean i believed in Chuck Hayes to make a decent role player, and thought Scola could contribute as well... but amazingly Landry came out of no where... and Alston's playing quite well... and Novak's hitting really good 3's... and I have to say... Bobby Jackson looking real good out there... its another strong personality that was probably needed in that lineup...

i fuking hate lakers. But i hate to admit it, they will lose to lakers. But if yao ming was here, they probably have a chance from the way the rockets play throughout the days witout yao. But either way, go SPurs!!!

if Gasol was in... woulda been a different story... T-Mac was tired... but Alston stepped up 2night... one can only hope they don't get completely drained by playoff time...

no pau, no yao, same thing! no bynum tho, so yeah... but doesn't matter because tmac played bad and it just showed how deep this roster can be. crazy defense on kobe, 11-33! or something like that...

^yeah... but Yao's gone for the year... Pau's gone for a week... Pau's gonna be in the playoffs... Yao's gonna be in Beijing... the streak doesn't mean a thing if u can't win in the playoffs...

^ didn't the lakers who won 33 games end up winning the title? :) maybe it's sign to come if the rockets can surpass it :D:D

na jking ^^ they won't, but the next 4 gaems (celtics to suns) will be a real test, if they can beat them down the way in which they've been beating teams down, oh boy! rockets are here to stay
