i didn't watch survivor law 1 but he was pretty damn annoying in sl II and other older series so i think i know lol, there was this series reaching out or something forgot the name, its like lam ka tung and benny chan and they are orphans, and sammul plays a rich guy's sun, he was sooo gay in that show too lol.....and oh yea there's rumors about him being homo, so maybe that's why....lmao, it would be way to funny if this guy is like in a kung fu series where he was a hero or something, luckily i don't think that happened dunno, but it would be hilarious cause he looks like a boy....

    omg....reaching out...yep. that series. such a sissy.
and then there was also maiden's vow. remember that one?
it's like this guy is just made for these ridiculously stupid ass roles...
u watched survivor's law 2 but not the first one? the first one is pretty good.

I know it Ron had a new girl again. He is like a playboy and not loyal to relationship in this particular series changing couple in every sequal wonder what happen to Joey Yung.

lol nah haven't watched maiden's vow and survivor's law I, i think my relatives recorded that on tape though, and i know bernice and raymond was in it, interesting but i don't think imma try to watch it. but another show he was in Triumph in the Skies....he was basically a fag in there too muahahaha....That show had one of the most ridiculous looking deaths from what i remember, and i remember i was badly sick while watching it lol...damn all these memories. One more thing, the song was good.

skip maiden's vow...(not a fan of charmaine). but survivor's law was good. raymond was
cute in it. this is before he became all metrosexual looking with the stupid hair and plucked
eyebrows...bernice was cute in it though.
aaahhhh....triumph in the skies...i enjoyed that one very much...aside from myolie...i like that girl, but
damn, she can be so annoying when she acts...all that whining and over exaggerating....
EASON!!! YAH FOR EASON! that song is good!

cant' wait to see michael again. he is still so handsome after all these years. he is a terrific actor.

lol yea i hate charmaine too, she is freakin annoying...luckily never watched a series with her in it like since 03....and i gotta agree that myolie's character was very annoying in triumph in the skies, well she barely had good roles back at that time anyways. the pairing with her and the older francis ng is just very odd, also like in this one movie doomed to oblivion or something she was paired with wong he, that pairing was freaking odd too. and yea raymond lam was cooler back then...especially in this series here, taste of love:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjITEuiWN3w raymond lam was actually funny in here unlike now where he is all emotional and stuff...always bringing that over dramatic pretty boy style...

remember the good days when charmaine was a supporting actor? there was that one drama called....
detective investigation IV! wit louis koo (omg...he is sooo sexy). i think...i'm not positive now...i'm pretty sure it was. she ended up
going to jail. however, i did love country spirit. well, mainly because of lum gai dong. but that is one of my
    faves of all time.
myolie with wong he? i don't think i saw that one. but yeah, myolie with francis ng was weird. i thought
in the end they woulda broken up and he woulda gone back to the other girl. the one that was married
to joe ma b4 he died. i dunno her real name. only know her as helen from her character in
threshold of an era...(whoo gallen lo...)
omg...taste of love. also LOVED that one. mariam was good in that one. raymond was funny in that one.
he used to play really cute roles. now, they are all serious and look at my over dramatic style. remember
eternal happiness? that one was cute. the girl always called him 'huk tan tow' (charcoal head)

lol i think i only saw part of detective investigation kinda forgot about that....but charmaine shouldn't be a actress at all haha....and yea country spirit was very good, got soo addicted to that...but charmaine sheh was ok in the beginning as the tough bitch on the block but in the end she sounded soo vulnerable once again lol, yea she was annoying at the end. lum ga tong had a really great role with his mom though...dramatic. and lol helen, omg i called her by that name for a while too, actually kinda forgot about threshold of an era since i watched that soo long ago, but damn i do remember gallen lo and "helen"...i started calling her joyce for a while too after watching the taste of love. but her real name is flora chan lol and she's a singer too....and yea eternal happiness....raymond was dark back then lol, he was questioning himself if he's in love with a man cause the girl played a guy hahahah that was way to funny.....lol his nicknames where funny back then, "shrimp head" "charcoal head" lmao.....lee lee bringing back memories of the good ol tvb shows that actually had some conclusive endings compared to right now where they just rush all the endings.... lol and oh yea joe ma's death was soo gay in triumph from the skies....it just looked ridiculous.......

omg d.i. IV was soooo goood....louis koo....omg...sooo hot...
that is like all time fave for sure. i also referred jessica hsuan "ms. moe" (her
name in the series) for the longest time (well, actually, i still do) haha. such a good series....
and that song they played over and over again to reference louis koo's old gf....
started off "i'm a big big girl in a big big world...." my mom made me look for that song and
burn it for her. one song! it was then played on repeat in her car. haha...
charmaine started okay in the beginning. then she got all, "im the shit" and started
to take on roles where all she did was bitch and whine and cry.

    (sigh)....lum ga tong...how i miss him...such good acting.
that one series with he did with kathy chow where she's a ghost...
    sooooooooooooo goood......
OMG OMG OMG....leading to the legendary four aces!!!!
aaaahhhhhh!!! BEST series EVER!!! remember his signature line
in that show? "hong yerk sing yun....something something...." hahhahahaha...
he was sooo funny in that one...all righteous and ends up getting nadia chan pregnant
    b4 marraige..hahahhahahah...

ooohhh threshold of an era...the suspense in that series
almost killed me....threshold of an era II was good but i woulda
preferred it if they had the bad guy in the first one (i call that guy by
his name in that drama too--> "ah bew") revert back to being good
and gallen lo, roger kwok and him attain that dream that caused all the
drama in the first place. i'm not complaining about the sequel cause
louis koo was all dark and sexy in that one but i woulda preferred it...
i also often call gallen lo "lik tin" and roger kwok "ah keung". haha

ahhhh..."shrimp head". forgot about that one...in eternal happiness, michelle ye's brother
was also quite funny. and yes, that whole "am i gay?" theme in E.H. was funny. korea's coffee
prince had nothing on this one. haha

funny to reminisce. i know what u mean about the rush endings in the new series.
it's like they put all the effort into the beginning and just give up after awhile.
oooohhhhh remember "cold blood warm heart"? with cheung chilam? that one was the shit.
gallen lo was so evil in that one.

    crap...i wrote waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much

haha lee lee...that song sounds like some kid pop song i heard wait who's it by. and yea i think charmaine started in this show too:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwlwsClcDGw and she was freaking annoying there and already had a lead role haha....she already started bitchin and crying and whining at the start of her career lmao.

i did not see the ghost thing you talking about but yea legendary four aces was awesome. but i think they miss casted chow heung, cause tong bat fu was nick cheung and esther kwan shouldn't really be chow heung....she's more comedic. but anyways i got used t it. but yea lam ka tung was an ass in that series. in a good way though haha....hong yerk sing yun...man yuk chui yee or some shit lmao.....but nadia chan was seriously hot back then...too bad she old now. but yea lam ka tung was fuckin funny in there....his mom too, made them split beds and she slept with nadia hahah...and she had to piss at night and dream out loud and stuff... i remember wayy too much from that show lol.

lol really forgot about threshold too bad, that was a long ass show too i think like on 8 vhs tapes or more...

lol raymond lam and joe ma fighting over a "man" hahahah.....other than that i forgot the other raymond lam series...seriously raymond lam playing a hero, i think it was something white snake forgot the title...it's so ridiculous and unbelievable, he should play those clueless or "bat yeem" characters, better. and twins of brothers made me cringe.

lol nah didn't watch that but yea, just look at the recent shows, survivors law II, fathers and sons, War of the Inlaw II, the gentle crackdown II.....all the endings are soo rushed......either skipping over and forgetting stories, plot holes or like they build up something the whole show...and then they cut it short in the last episode....ridiculous. the only new show i've seen so far with a kinda suitable ending would be heart of greed but that was also kinda confusing.... and yea you write too much and i write more than usual too hahahha

    (sigh....the memories....)
i don't think i've seen that show ur talking about with it being charmaine's
first drama. but the theme song sung by jacky is damn good. must find....

well, didn't chow heung disappear after awhile and another girl appeared
that looked exactly like chow heung? the second character wasn't as glum.
but yeah, i agree with esther being suited for comedic roles. her drama, flower
fist or something...was really really good. and hilarious to beyond words.
the drama with kathy chow: time before time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i7IpKtxMo8
the main song by anita...sooooo soothing...sooo good. must find and d/l...
but yeah, if u ever encounter it, i definitely
recommend u watch it. or tape it and watch it when u retire. haha....

nadia chan is pretty. remember her in that really old drama
with leon lai? where she's a singer?
i don't remember the whole part with the mother in law. u are hardcore.
i remembered the one part where "bak fu" was in competition and he
spit water all over his painting and it the end it made it look like the flower he
drew was actually blooming. i laughed so hard cause it was soooo freaking
    stupid (but enjoyable nonetheless)

oh myyyyy...vhs tapes. that is soo freaking awesome. i have all these
old tapes of movies/dramas and old tvb entertainment shows safely tucked away
in my room. every now and then i like to take out the entertainment shows and
watch them. like the old school jade solid gold awards where the four heavenly
kings dominated everything. or the ones where it's girl singers vs. boy singers.
it was all about the four heavenly kings  haha...

omg...twins of brothers. is that the one with ron ng and where raymond has that
ridiculously stupid hair? where there's like a few strands just in front of his face?
if it is, i stopped watching cause it bugged me soooo much that he just didn't comb
it out of the way. (N) usually, i always finish a ron ng show but those damn few strands
    of hair...ugh...

u should also if possible watch cold blood warm heart. that one was definitely
worthy of "the shit" award. (i mean that in a good way) heart of greed was as
expected of tvb. but i agree, one of the few that had an ending that good. heart
of greed helped me make up my mind that i hate yoyo mung. her voice always
annoyed the shit out of me. always made me feel like i was listening to nails on a
    chalkboard.
yes, we both write waaaay too much. but it's all good. the contents being discussed
are totally worthy of essay length writing. :wiggle::wiggle::wiggle: ( i don't really know
wat that emoticon is supposed to represent but it's cute...)

lol we going ultra nostalgic here with the tvb shows...a few weeks ago i was all talking about the classic songs in the shoutbox lol....but you haven't seen flying fox of snowy mountains 1999? anyways i think the version in the video is impossible to find lol...but i got this version: http://www.zshare.net/audio/9065647b1d6f8a/

lol it was her so called evil twin sister chow yeut lol. i think i saw flower fist or whatever a long time ago too lol... she was freaking hilarious in armed reaction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CiT10UIRk4 , this series is like in my top 10 of all time, could watch it endless times, i've seriously saw it like 4-5 times lol. the comedy is great and the cast is perfect, i think one of the first series i saw joyce tang. never watched that time before time lol what's it about, don't really look too interesting.... anyways oh yea if you liked country spirit you should watch this if you haven't already...plain love II...it's like similar actors and concept but instead of wine it's tea lol....and this was before country spirit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge7HOsUx1gM pretty good show.

omg lee lee that one. tin ngai co nui or someshit i dunno if i ever finished it but i called her siu hon for like years and years after that seriously. lol just searched...it is called song bird holy shit how do i remember this stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is2t4_793Jk lol lee digging stuff out of my memories now. damn that song is good. lol yea the competition parts were cool...like the when they had to write on water and stuff lol they had some cool and funny shit in that show. and talking about nadia chan and legendary four aces brings me to this. happy ever after: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0pxxl72xsU... i love this show too and the song by roman tam is good. this show is insanely funny. i'm just a fan of bobby au yeung shows in the past lol like in the 90s...in the 80s he had wayyy different roles and he was a lot skinnier.

lol i don't actually have the jade solid things but i have the award shows and yea all of the tvb series i watched back then were on vhs tapes lol....countless hours of recording.

lol yea that show was ridiculous and the special effects were freaking laughable, terrible terrible overall....but nancy wu was fine in there....

i don't think i've watched that show but it looks good and lee lee thanks for mentioning it....cause this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSVc5VuLz6g ..... ONE OF THE CLASSICS I LIKE THAT I DON'T HAVE.....cool now imma find and dl it hehe.......lol yea yoyo mung freaking annoying it's like she don't have enough air to talk or something haha....and yea the essays continue if we continue talking about tvb shows lol....there are like close to 100 in my head or even more...i forgot haha....-woot2 old skool tvb !!!! :punk:

omg nas, this thread is even more enjoyable then the food ones or even the
cheesecake one. haha...and that says a lot cause i think we all know how much
    i LOVE food...especially cake...hahahahha
but if we're gonna go for some ultimate nostalgia, i don't think we can leave
this one out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gglTV0E_aVo or this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8jZRnCEmOE
oh my goodness...chor lau heung. i always loved this version the most. the first one
with adam cheung was good but michael mui seemed to be made for that role. he has such a big
head though. he reminds me of those bobble head toys ppl put on their dashboards of their cars...
and the princess. i call her yong yong from her role in legend of condor heroes. haha. too bad she died
so young. but yeah, felix wong is still to this day, referred to as gok jing. i don't care how old he gets.
i LOVED how incredibly stupid and adorable he was. ron ng in drive of life had nothing on gok jing
when it came to not getting it.
feel like ur gonna throw up from all this nostalgia? no? then one more:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rzPzBsoOvA&feature=related
i had to. i'm sorry. haha... i remember in this song, my boy cousins would run throughout
the house screaming "hoo ha" over and over again while playing with those
plastic swords u get from chinatown with the song on repeat....well, more like
it was taped repeatedly on a tape since there were no cds... hahahahahahahha

yes, ,yes, armed reaction. good stuff. but i really only prefer the first two. after that, the series seemed
to drag. speaking of shows of police men and stuff, did u ever see this one about fire fighters with wong he? i think it was called burning flame....i think...with ada choi...anyways, i loved his daughter in that one
she is just sooo freaking adorable...the end when she knows he's not coming back...omg...i cried sooo hard. my dad even cried.

no no no! that show is sooo good. kathy is a ghost. the beginning when lum gai dong first
realizes it was just so freaking hilarious. the video u saw did not do it justice. besides, its lum
gai dong. can't go wrong with his old stuff.

plain love II...what was plain love I? haven't heard of it. but i should find and watch.
can't believe i've missed out on one of his dramas...plus, i like that girl thats in it.

haha...i just called her tin ai gor lei. but i absolutely HATED the ending. HATED IT HATED IT.
    it's better that u didn't finish it.
yes, bobby's old stuff is really good. aahhh...and roman tam...a legend.

i have so many of those old tvb shows on tapes. like my beloved chor lau heung and
legend of condor heroes. i absolutely refuse to switch to getting the official dvds.
something about the tapes that just makes it sooo much better. and the whole rewinding the
tapes in my mom's old tape rewinder that is shaped like a corvette. nothing beats it. hahahaha
i swear i'm keeping those things for life. even now, when the chinese channel my mom watches
shows an old school show, i record the whole thing on vhs when we have a perfectly good
    dvd recorder.

i have a love hate thing for nancy wu. i saw her in face to fate and hated her to death.
but by the end, i was okay with her.

really cold blood warm heart...gallen lo, cheung chilam, louis koo, nadia chan, jessica hsuan,
adam cheung...u cannot not agree that the cast kicks ass.
let the essay writing continue! haha-rockon:wavey:

  19. [N]

    [N] RATED [ ]

haha actually i missed out on the shows you are talking about...i wasn't even born at that time lol and never really bothered to find and watch em but that song in the last video....heard it soo many times lmao... heres probably the oldest "ancient" show i still have the vhs stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P35VLgxn99I ...the other ones i really don't remember lmao....and most of the old dramas that i have watched has lui leung wai in it or man chi leung...ooo yes i saw this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Oqo4a8e94w which is older than my time haha....it's about goon yam but...with simon yam and stuff, lol but i don't really know why simon yam should be in, i'm getting confused by all these stories about goon yum, they all seem to be different... and i also remember one series about gangster with lui leung wai and carina lau in it but damn forgot what's it called but also one of my favs... Here's like MY show though haha....this is like one of the first things i ever watched...movie or tvb show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhU5zfhAQ4E

lol yea the armed reaction series died without esther kwan and her son....esther kwan had a lot of chemistry with bobby au yeung lol, they were like the perfect show couple at that time. They make soo much jokes, it's like when you see them on screen it just clicks. just like joyce tang and esther kwan, they make really believable partners...i actually missed 3 but i saw IV and ada choi and bobby au yeung is not right. They make a awkward couple and i'm not really a fan of ada choi, i find her really annoying sometimes lol. also yoyo mung was paired with bobby au yeung later in IV too lol. They should've never done the sequels and IV kinda had a cliffhanger...left a bad taste in my mouth. And yea i saw Burning Flame too...the one with kevin cheng too as his brother right? yea the ending was sad as hell...lol what happen to that girl now though, she was like in every movie back then. and i don't think it was ada choi....it was that girl that stars opposite lam ka tung in plain love II...

lol...but nah i'm not gonna look for the show. i don't think i was ever really a big fan of chow hoi mei's stuff cause i've barely seen shows with her in it....this is the role of her that i still have in mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik_pgCPbqOQ.....this show has leon lai and wan seu lan....lol this show is like the most memorable to me....she was pretty in this one...the theme was in my head like forever, and i thought leon was a badass at the time haha.....and oh yea i called maggie shiu "Chin Qiu" even today because of this show lol...
and yea lam ka tung had really good shows under his belt during his run with tvb....lol the shows i saw him in though, he usually plays the good guy...but if you seen him in recent hk flicks, he's usually always the bad guy haha and he dies. kinda weird.

lol i think i saw the trailer for plain love I and it had chow hoi mei and lam ka tung or something too lol....but yea should definitely watch plain love II...really good show i think...he's called "ngam chun jai" in here lol and he kinda acts like how he acted in country spirit so you know what to expect. what is weird though lol is why he is always magically transformed from a poor ass guy with really no skill to a master at making tea or wine....the shows never really explains in depth lol...it's just random

lol i probably did finish it and forget...but yea i guess it's a good thing lol...

yea bobby's old stuff from the 90s was good...but lol like before that he was acting as like a hard ass character and like all wooden and stuff lol...the difference is HUGE....and yea roman is a legend sucks he died.

lol yea with tvb shows you sit your ass down for 6-8 hours and wait until the tape gets finished lmao....that's the beauty of it...get addicted!!!! and switch tapes for like 10 hr marathons... yea tapes give off the feeling of nostalgia i guess i dunno.... lol the corvette rewinder... i was about to get that but got a normal one instead...they don't really sell rewinders anymore haha. lol lee lee hopefully you keep the tapes in good shape though cause they can't last forever. and also you remember writing on the labels for the tapes haha...i just trace or write the english title and then instead of Chapters 1-8 or something i refer to part 1.... so a series would have like 5 parts lols....

i never really actually liked nancy wu's acting.....i just thought she was hot in that show hahha...

lol yes that cast looks kick ass...another show that i remembered had a big ass cast with adam cheng and eric tsang too was the new shanghai grand or something: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCDO1vV8mVM really big cast but i forgot if the show was actually that good... it was a remake lol. oh ya lam ka tung in it too haha.... okie woo all that nostalgia for me too...yes Write more and more haha....:jump::yes:

aaahhh...man chi leung...or as my mom calls him, "the one that i should have married" my mom is a
little . hahahahha...since ur a youngin' i dunno if u ever saw this one but.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiCQ8MOT51c such a gooooood show...watch the first 5 mintues for stephen chow.. god, that guy is just tooo funyy.
anyways, i can't believe u've never seen chor lau heung or legend of condor
heroes. they are classics!!! but to be fair, i havent seen ur first tvb show....the one with man chi leung.
but, since u brought up the legendary tony leung....remember this one?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=413NqYCm6eo omg...tony leung and andy lau...can't beat it.
tony was sooooo freaking hilarious in this. i like dicky cheung but his remake had nothing on this one.
plz, tell me u saw this one. or else...i can't talk to u anymore. nor can u say ur a true tvb fan. hahahah
    i kid i kid. NO I'M NOT KIDDING! -tongue2

esther kwan is just freaking hilarious. she has just that comedic charm about her that makes everything
funny. she's like her husband, when i see their faces, i just wanna laugh. not that they have stupid
faces or anything, but i just think of something funny about them and i laugh. ada choi, i'm okay with her.
but i know what u mean by that level of annoyance that she has. i think it's her voice or the way her face
contorts weirdly when she talks. sequels are usually done jsut for the money. quality of it are usually
crappy compared to the original as most sequels usually are.
that little girl in burning flame...prob all grown up now and not cute anymore therefore, tvb don't care
    for her. -hay1
hmmm...speaking of the girl that actually in burning flame...i liked her one show with gong wah where
gong wah is a king and she was sent to kill him but then they are sent to the future by accident.
omg, the beginning when they first come to modern time, i like cried laughing.
ooohhh...there's was this other show of hers...i don't really remember it at all, but she had a kid, and
    his number was number 1.
she left because she got sick and had to get treatment i think. she's back though. i saw her give an
    interview not too long ago.
Omg.....that show...that song...the memories are gonna make my nose bleed. hahahahahah...
but yes, b4 that show, i always thought leon was like borderline gay cause he's so "nah ying"
but after that one, never mess with leon lai yo. i have to d/l that song. wong geet's old stuff is the
shit. i remember i didn't like the ending of this one. i don't remember it all though. but i remember when
i saw the ending i didn't like it.
speaking of maggie shiu....ever see this one drama with ekin cheung and nadia chan? nadia dies in
the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QZmgSyc244 omg..nostalgic. i dunno if u ever saw this one,
but when that other girl (married to lau ching wan in real life) tried to take ekin away from nadia and
just pretending that he belonged to her when she knew fully that he didn't like her...:rl: i wanted to
KILL her! but yeah, this one made me fall in love with ekin cheung. i remember every guy back then, how his
hair was like THE thing to have. hahahahahahahahaha... such a good show. even the theme song was so
powerful...again, must find and d/l.hahah..omg, i need help. or this one scene where nadia and ekin both stand on opposite sides of a pillar to hide from the rain and just miss each other. FREAKING CLASSIC SHIT! omg..or that one scene where nadia's lying on the hospital bed after the fire and we all know that's she's pretty much gone and ekin cheung is trying to fit the wedding ring on her but it wouldn't fit and he's like balling saying, 'it's won't fit' or something. i remember wailing in tears.

i gotta find plain love I and II. i can't believe i've never seen or heard of them. and i call myself a
lum gai dong fan *hide in shame*
i know what u mean by the whole rags to riches thing. but it's all good.

bobby's witness to a persecution was damn good. i'm stil on the borderline with the sequel though...
like i usually am with sequels. i have like a love/hate thing for them. i'm curious to how my fave
characters turn out or go on but then the actual showing of it just never satisfies me.

haha...taping shows on vhs...i hate commercials and the control for my vcr doensn't have a proper
working record button and i ABSOLUTELY hate commercials, so i like sit right beside the tv and vcr the entire time waiting to press record and stop. freaking hilariousness i tell u.
and yes, one of my greatest fear, one of my precious tapes getting eaten up by the vcr. it has happened
b4 and i cried. happened to my esther kwan's lady flower fist. i ended up having to buy the dvd version.
i am just waiting for the day when the chinese channel replays it during the day so i can retape it. everytime
i go to future shop or best buy to buy vhs tapes, the cashier person always looks at me like i'm insane.
my mom has like 3 of those tape rewinder things. we have a red and two black corvette tape rewinders. hahahahahahahahahahah. i label my tapes in the english name of the show but number them in chinese
numbers. i have issues i know.

omg...this took me like 40 minutes to write. i had to stop part way to get something to eat cause i could feel
my blood sugar falling. hahahahhahaha...now, i'm hungry again...:wavey:

thought i should finish with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdUK...e.com/profile_video_blog?user=GoldenDragonTVB
i've seen this one but i have absolutely no recognition of it watsoever. i just see bits and pieces in my head. but the song is sooo damn good!!!
