Wednesday March 19, 2008 China The press conference for action movie, “Storm Riders 2″ was held yesterday afternoon in Hong Kong where film directors, Pang Brothers together with its main actors/actresses like Ekin Cheng, Aaron Kwok, Nicholas Tse, Charlene Choi, etc appeared in a starry starry enviroment They also revealed for the first time, Tiffany (唐嫣) a newbie China actress who will be taking on Shu Qi’s role of Chu Chu in the movie sequel. She appears to be a wise choice as she was the focus of attention among the media with her sweet smile and oustanding appearance and looks a great fit for the character. Storm Riders first appeared on our movie screens in 1998 with Ekin Cheng playing as Wind and Aaron Kwok as Sky. It got extremely got reviews and was king at the box office. 10 years later, we have Ekin and Aaron back reprising their roles with a brand new story for their reunion. The Pang Brothers stressed that “Storm Riders 2″ is not a remake nor a sequel to the former and will instead sport a brand new story of its own. Aaron said that acting as Cloud now and 10 years ago will be totally different and hopes that it’s even better this time. He believes viewers are in for a wonderful treat. Besides the two main leads, other main characters in the movie have also been decided already. Charlene Choi will be casted as Second Dream, Nicholas Tse plays the villian Jue Xin while Simon Yam plays his father, Jue Wu Shen. This movie will be heavily budgeted and aims to be the most perfect CGI movie in history. The production team are the ones who produced “Re-cycle” and “The Warlords” and they will stop at no cost to make sure everything turns out right. lol awesome! but they should have like 新stormriders (what ever the chinese name was ), like 古惑在，where they do a 'younger; version but still ...... Aaron was so cool in the first one ^^
OMG I CANT WAIT...BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG!!! of all Storm rider movies made, only Ekin and Aaron's version is the closest to the actual man hua. The mainland versions is so off. Who else here reads the man hua besides me
I also can't wait to watch this movie. I like the first one. Haven't seen much of Ekin and Aaron acting, therefore this will be a good one. Really wonder what become of them in the new Storm-rider. Are they getting older and have children or still bachelor. =) Aren't their adopted father died? So what will they be looking for? hmm would be interesting to know. Hope it will be better not worst. hehe
In the Chinese manga, wind marries second dream and has a son name Fung Yee, who turns out evil Cloud marries chu chu, and gives birth to Bo Teen or sky...who turns out violent and dies later in the manga...they get old right after the "Conquering season", so basically the movie would follow the actual manga where cloud and wind would be in their 30s and 40s
haha, The 'hong kong' movie of this was pretty good, lol with eason , chilam and ruby lin '漫畫風雲。 lol btw, if its a different story, how is it storm riders or just a different storyline with the characters?
hahah what?? they coming out with a 2nd one? watched the 1st one not too long ago.. hahah didn't like it that much.. but I'm sure the 2nd one will be coo..
wow, cant wait to see this, luuuuuuuuuuuved the 1st 1. Glad 2 main leads are the same, and fingers crossed this wont be a disappointment, i sorta miss type of film!
can't wait to watch this!! the first storm rider was awesome! plus it's aiming to be the most perfect CGI movie in history....this is a definate must watch
