Possible, but if the relationship doesnt work, you will lose the friendship too. I dont have a relationship with my best gal frenz, but we do spend some 'time' with each another and enjoy each other company :)

You risk more, but at he same time it could end up being a better relationship than with someone you don't know because of the fact that you two already get along so well.

It may be that because you two are friends and its a great friendship that two people are experiencing not love... kinda like for a lot of people, someone can be your best friend, but you know if you like lived in the same house as them it would never work or you may have a friend that in a sense would make a better girl/boyfriend than anyone you have ever dated, but the just not feelings in the love department there.

Unless the guy is gay LOL.

On a serious note, most of the time girls and guy can't be best friends, but there are always exception to that rule.

Its a risk I'm willing to take. To be honest i'd have to agree, i don't think me and my gf would ever become "just friends" if we ever broke up. But then again, she's still "friends" with her ex, which i personally don't really appreciated because hes a total asshole ...

Or you can just be incomplete denial and one day it hits you like a car and your like "damn shes the only girl I really ever got along with... etc. etc."

i agree it's a good way to go
because you already know each other so much, that you can't be suprised by most of their faults
you know what your getting yourself into

and hohnestly i think even if you break up, you will still stay close, and always watch out for each other
    especialyl with other realtionships

yes its possible but its not a good thing because if you do decide to go out with each other and it ends then you wont be best friends anymore and if you decide not to get with each other then there will still be that what if question

Sometimes when you guys get too close to each other, you start liking them. You sorta have this feeling for them.

but then again if ur rele gd friends and ur attracted to each other it should work out, cos u both know each other rele well and by being such gd friends u would have had a lot in common. usually it doesn't work out cos there is no chemistry but if there is then in theory it should work out.

Me and my boyfriend has been together for over 4 years and we were best friends for 3 1/2 years before that. It's working great for us. However, people need to be careful, if it turns ugly, you might lose your best friend.

some people are too careful that once they lost their chance they regret it and some who take the chance end up ruining the relation and once again regret it.

So how can we be sure? -_@

thats why its all about taking the risk. like they say take the risk and u may get a reward but if u don't take a risk u won't get a reward.

my longest relationship was with my bestfriend but when we broke up we could of remained friends but it was just too awkward. Whenever we talked or hanged out she would try to get us back together so it didn't work out. I have since gotten a new bestfriend and now we've been seeing each other for 6 months. Having a relationship with a friend that close is always rough especially when you break up. But I look at it like i don't want to be 75 yrs old thinking what if. That is why I am able to take the risk. Not everyone is like that tho. So before you get into this think long and hard. It is extremely hard to be bestfriends with the opposite sex without developing feelings for the person. But if you ever fo get married and you have a best friend of the opposite sex also be prepared for a rocky relationship.

its very common your with them so much and you know them forever you have like everything in common its not bad until things go wrong and you break up and then thats when you got a problem unless its a healthy break up which things still get akward

hmm, it may not, i mean it depends when the break up occurs, if it occurs towards the beginning where one doesn't sense the chemistry in the relationship then it can end well.
